Wrestling Match

 

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all, to stand. — Ephesians 6:12-13

Our younger son was a wrestler in his junior and senior high school days. It is one of the hardest sports that takes a good deal of physical conditioning. 

The type of wrestling here is spiritual wrestling where you need to train with the word of God and prayer. You are in a wrestling match against the forces of darkness and evil and you can pin them to the mat and win! 

Realize each and every day forces of darkness are trying desperately to destroy America and also attempt to deceive many and get them to compromise what they know to be true. Don’t get sucked in to this and exercise your senses unto godliness and away from worldly culture which gets more anti Christian by the minute. Stand strong and you will be victorious. 

PRAYER: Oh Lord how I wish I could make your Holy Spirit touch the lives of so many who are walking in darkness. Some are people who have no clue from liberal churches or believing a political ideology which they are convinced is right. Father open the eyes of those blinded by anti Christian thinking and beliefs. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
