Do You Love Money?

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (1 Tim. 6:10). 

Money and wealth seem to be the catalyst for many fights and even wars.In cowboy days it was the lust for gold and riches as pioneers forged Westward. I hear of family squabbles over what is left in a will after the death of a family member. It is disheartening. 

Scripture says that money itself is not evil or bad but it is the love of money. Pursuing it at all costs. How many times do you hear of lottery winners who end up with a miserable life.

Perhaps if mankind could just be content with what they have and not jealous of others things would go much better. Do a word study on money in scripture. It is very interesting. 

PRAYER: Lord I am grateful for the way you provide for me. Gaining millions isn’t going to help unless when I have it I help others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.,

Examine Your Own Life

Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy."James 4:11-12

To the non believer Christian’s are seen as hateful or judgmental pointing the finger at others but not themselves. Each person is a sinner saved by grace.

Take a look at your own life and see what areas are in need of repairs and tweaking. It is easy to chuck stones at others.

Let God be the one to fix and the Holy Spirit the one to convict. Things go much better.

PRAYER: Use me in a positive way. Help me not be stumbling block but a way to help people who feel lost. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

It's Gradual

 

Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.  Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.  Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.James 1:14-16

I love watching GRIT TV with all the westerns and maybe it is because I now live in what used to be known as the Wild West. One thing I was thinking about was I wondered when ladies and girls stopped wearing the long skirts and high necked blouses. A gradual slipping into new fashion trends and also a slip in morals along with it.

Everything is gradual. The story of a frog put in a pot of water gradually increasing the heat until he is cooked and not smart enough to escape. Is that how you and I are in this world today? It takes courage to say no to something you know is wrong, immoral, or evil especially when the rest of the crowd is being blinded and mesmerized. 

When the Bible says one thing yet society and even some churches, embraces a total opposing view and even to the point of putting it into law as normal. Christian’s have to study and know the truth and be gentle in correcting others. Go in peace and stay alert.  

PRAYER: I continue to pray daily for the people in our world to wake up and recognize that it is Satan try to redesign and redefine morals. Help me Lord to stay awake. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

So Hard To Not Want To Fix Things

 

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14

What are you waiting on today? Different stages of life bring different waiting rooms. 

The waiting room of the return of a prodigal child. The waiting room of a positive medical report. The waiting room of a long overdue apology. The waiting room of acceptance. 

Whatever it is continue to press in and try to not take things in your own hands. Keep praying. Pretty simple but not easy. Don’t let Satan trap you into playing god. 

PRAYER: Dear Lord I just need extra help to keep my mouth shut and be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Ho, Ho, Ho, Really?

 

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

This time of year it seems forced merriment is upon us. Don’t get me wrong, that  is great and many people feel happier during this season. 

This is a time where everyone seemingly wants  to be kind as there are many opportunities to give. How do you feel in your heart? Rushed, pressured, sad, lonely, or are you bubbling over with the joy of the season anxious for the next gathering? 

Take time to be still. The reason for the season is of course Jesus so don’t shove him to the back burner. Make sure your children, grandchildren and your neighbors know what this season is really about. 

PRAYER: Father I don’t want to be forced into the cultures way of celebrating Christmas. Use me in the places I go to shine for you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Persecution Coming?

 

“Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted…”2 Timothy 3:12

Do you try to not rock the boat so to speak and blend in with the culture and world around you or do you speak up against evil in society? Anymore it is becoming common place for culture to accept all lifestyles as okay and Christians called mean and hateful for speaking against them. God has guidelines for sexual behavior and many have crossed the line even knowing they are wrong.

If you are truly following the Lord you will indeed be persecuted. Stand strong. Don’t back down. Be thoroughly equipped by having a great knowledge of scripture. Don’t just say you are a Christ follower but study His training manual The Bible.

Pray for those you know who have slipped and fallen into the sin pit of this culture. Pray for schools and churches to both stay strong and teach truth. Pray for those trying to ruin our Biblically founded society. Good news is God still reigns.

PRAYER: Father I put my trust in you. I know Satan is behind all the evil tripping people up in our culture and deceiving them. I ask for blinders to come off those I know and love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Up We Go!

“The LORD upholds all who fall and raises up all who are bowed down.” Psalm 145:14

Pastor Steven Furtick recently had a sermon talking about the word ‘up’ and all of its different uses and meanings. I chose to use it to build a mini devotion. Hope you don’t mind Pastor Steven. 

Rise up, get up, sit up. Is up a positive word? When you can be in God’s presence you can be way up over your problems.  You lift your prayers and praises  up to God. 

Negative ‘ups’ are out there too. Shut up, give up are two of them. Just ponder that word ‘up’. Keep thinking about looking up to Heaven. Rest in God. Trust Him as you wait on your breakthrough. God is stronger and bigger and can lift you up above those trying to take you down. 

PRAYER: Father help me keep my mind focused up to you and not let the devil make me feel like my prayers are hopeless. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Give Thanks With A Grateful Heart

Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Ephesians 5:20

As I was writing this devotion a few days prior to today I was sitting in the very busy terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport early on Sunday morning watching passengers running for their next flight obviously with very close connections. Most of these folks were no doubt heading home for the Thanksgiving holiday to see family.

This is a family time for sure and sometimes there are fractured families so there is pain and heartbreak because it isn’t going your way and not leading to a very happy time. Whatever emotion this day evokes be sure to take time to pray. God want's to hear from you. Take time to talk to Him.

Think about what you are blessed with today and continue that habit every day. As you celebrate we remember this is the day the Lord made and we shall rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

PRAYER: Lord thank you for blessing me each and every day. Help me not compare myself with others but be content. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fruit Of The Womb Is His Reward

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD.” Psalm 127:3

In this generation and culture of abortion disguising itself as ‘reproductive rights’ my heart goes out to precious infants who never had a chance. Or to those mothers who carried a child but lost it before birth. I can’t imagine the heartache. 

Children are a true gift from God no matter how they were conceived. Men out there don’t take fatherhood lightly. The father plays a key role in raising a healthy child to adulthood yet single homes without a dad abound. 

Children are knit together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). Children are innocent and pure yet a movement is out there to sexualize them and abuse them. If you are a parent you are blessed. Never take parenthood for granted. Many want children and are unable to conceive so don’t throw God’s babies in the trash. 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for the blessing and innocence of children. I thank you for the joy they add to life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Some People Don't Understand God's Love For Them

 

 "The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."Zephaniah 3:17

Do you feel loved by family, friends, and others? Some people have a hard time accepting love or feeling God’s love because of abuse or neglect in their childhood. 

God loves you with an everlasting love and is sad when you can’t fathom that because of past hurts perhaps at the hand of an earthly father which may have included his absence. Even a mother who abandons her children can scar them for life. 

I don’t know your particular story but trust me when I say God loves you. And if you are blessed with children you know how much you love your children well God loves them more. So rest and know the all encompassing love of God. 

PRAYER: I pray earthly Fathers are teaching their children about God’s love. Even when others don’t care for me you do. That is calm assurance. Thanks. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

I Am Not In Control And Neither Are You

 

No man has authority to restrain the wind with the wind, or authority over the day of death; and there is no discharge in the time of war, and evil will not deliver those who practice it. Ecclesiastes 8:8

Are you a control freak? Do you like to be in charge of what happens to you? You wish you could but it is impossible. 

Mankind always seems to want to control his or her own destiny and what happens each day.  What is necessary is to learn to relax, pray, trust God, repeat. 

When things don’t happen your way or on your timetable just remember to surrender it all to the Lord. Not even the highest official in the land has control. Ultimately God is the keeper of your schedule. 

PRAYER:I trust you with my life Lord and even the outcome of things going on in the world. I choose to be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stop Having Headline Hysteria

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.Matthew 6:34

Are you more focused on the days’ breaking news and headlines than you are trusting God to give you peace? You can’t expect to grow in Christ if you are constantly bombarding your thoughts with the hysteria which is the main stream news. Why do you need to know anyway and how will your life be better,  ask yourself that. 

We are to be in the world but not of the world. Someone told me once I was too ‘spiritual’ and needing to get back to the real world. Our job as followers of Christ is to lead others to Christ and come along side all people and help them. I heard somewhere once that you preach and if necessary use words. Ponder that. 

How can you make your day better? I suggest start with morning devotions from the You Version Bible Ap. Don’t run to turn on the TV unless you plan to maybe watch Daystar or Trinity Broadcasting. Stay off social media. Give it a try. I imagine after doing this a few days you will be refreshed and have a new habit started. 

PRAYER: Lord thank you for my mind and my brain and the ability to think and reason. Give me wisdom on what type of things I let into my mind. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Pray For Those Who Mistreat You

 

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,Luke 6:28

Have you ever had others mistreat you, gossip about you, snub you? It is very unkind and hurtful particularly when a friend is the one doing it. 

Years ago the Ten Commandments were posted in schools and government buildings. When you see the Ten Commandments you are morally convicted, or should be, to stay under God’s protective umbrella of sorts. The devil will taunt you saying “Did Gods really say” just like in times of Adam and Eve when serpent beguiled Eve. If people followed the Ten Commandments perhaps the hurt and meanness would subside. 

Perhaps if the Ten Commandments were memorized and honored today our world would not be in such a mess. Many people can’t even name two of them. Read Exodus 20:3-17 and you will see these Commandments. Try to commit them to memory and purpose to keep them. 

PRAYER: Lord I choose to be kind and to forgive anyone who has wronged me knowingly or unknowingly. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Great Concern

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

Are there things in your life that if you rehearse scenarios in your mind long enough fear just takes over? What about faith, trust, prayer and believing God hears your prayers. 

Prayer walking is a good thing to do basically walking a perimeter around a mayor’s office, school, business, organization, and so forth. Not drawing attention to yourself but simply strolling with a purpose praying for specific things concerning where you are walking. 

What burdens are you carrying today? Talk to God as He hears you. Remember to be salt and light in a dark world. 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you for the ability to get out and pray and make a difference. My heart gets overwhelmed at times so keep me still and help me trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

You Are Able Lord

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Mark 11:24

Whatever it is that you have prayed about believing God is a big big God and more than able to take care of you. He hears your cries. 

Some people may think when you ask Jesus to be Lord of your life that problems and trials cease. They actually might pick up a bit to help form you into the vessel God wants to use for His kingdom purposes. Say what? 

Anyway friend God is more than able each and every day. Some can’t wrap their minds around that. Don’t try, just trust Him. 

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for your love and care for me and for healing my prayers. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Sit Back And Let Me Do My Job

For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Philippians 2:13

How many times have you prayed and prayed yet try to take matters in your own hands? When you do this you are taking control and not allowing God to work. 

God is God. You are a mere human who maybe wants to serve as His apprentice but He is fine without help. 

Whatever it is you are believing God for try to be still. No texting to people. No phone calls. No despair when it is not on your time table. Trust God. 

PRAYER: Lord God I want so much to fully surrender any area I am believing for miracles in. I know Satan tries to taunt but I choose to wait. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Shut Up Devil!

 

And give no opportunity to the devil.Ephesians 4:27

Sometimes try screaming “Shut up” to the devil when he is tormenting your mind with wrong thinking. Put to death his lies! 

This world is not our home. Once you accept Christ your new home awaits you in Heaven upon your death. Nothing to fear. But Satan loves to plant lies in believers minds to attempt to get you off course or tormented. 

It is taking authority when you command Satan and his demons to leave. Isaiah 54:17 says that NO weapon formed against you will prosper. Believe it, receive it! Then be still. 

PRAYER: Thanks for another day of life to sing your praises. Use me Lord in my neighborhood and places I go. Heal any relational problems and help me spread your joy to people I encounter. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Love Your Enemies

"But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."Matthew 5:44

At post election time it seems opposing parties get hateful to each other. Didn’t God say to love your enemies and pray for those who used you? You are to love even those people who tell lies about you, gossip, want to behead you, and so forth. 

This kind of love comes only from one source, The Holy Spirit,  which you get when you become born again. Getting baptized as an infant doesn’t all of a sudden make you love people but it is walking daily with the Lord asking the Holy Spirit to infiltrate you. 

Look around you and think about Jesus walking beside you. He loved people who threw rocks at him and spit on him. Could you do that? Even those people who interpret the Bible to cover their sinful behavior you are still supposed to love. Let God take care of the wrongs and you simply reach out and smile and be kind. 

PRAYER: Your word is truth yet today some churches even want to condemn it and edit it. I know your heart is broken. Father help me be so grounded in the word that I recognize a counterfeit doctrine. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

The Only Disability In Life Is A Bad Attitude

 



“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”Philippians 4:8

My title comes from an ad from a candy store in Boise, Sweet Zola’s, and liked it so decided to build a devotion using it. This store hires those with developmental disabilities giving them a chance to shine. 

People often may not know how to react to an individual when they are quote unquote, different, but hey aren’t all of us unique in our own marvelous way. He made you with special talents and abilities and wants you to shine and grow where you are not comparing yourself to someone better, more beautiful, wealthier. 

Don’t ever feel you don’t matter to God. That lie comes from the enemy. Stand up and be counted for just who He made you to be. 

PRAYER: Help me Lord be grateful for who I am and how I was created. Each life is valuable and has purpose. Forgive us as a nation for killing so many unborn babies that had much potential. Lord help me stay focused on a good attitude. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Thank You For Your Service

 

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another."Galatians 5:13

This United States is free because men and women fought and died for democracy and a government for the people not one from the King of England or a dictatorship. Freedom is a gift from God and those brave citizen soldiers are to be thanked especially those who secured freedom with their life.

Here on Veterans’ Day stop a moment and think about all the wars that were fought and lives given for the price of freedom. Most veterans don’t expect much but everyone always says “thank you for your service”.

Keep alert and aware. Take part in elections as it is a privilege many don’t have. Speak up for righteousness if you see evil in the public square. Prayer walk around city buildings, schools, and other places the potential for evil could exist. Pray that this nation could stay one nation under God.

PRAYER: On this day I recognize those people who served our country in peace and war time so we could have freedom. Help me stay alert to any deception in government to remove God from our country. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When The Enemy Invited You Just Say NO!

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 KJV Bible Gateway 

The enemy is a destroyer of people, relationships, families, schools, government, churches, and basically anything that is righteous he will go after as he is a liar, crook, cheat, and so forth. 

As a follower of Jesus never take your freedoms for granted because there are government officials following the enemy even though they may be unaware, ready to pounce and confuse. God is not the author of confusion it says in 1 Corinthians 14:23. 

Ask God to keep you aware of the Devil’s schemes. Stay in the word. Make the Bible and devotions the first part of your day before diving into social media. Also pray for discernment and wisdom and for any you know taking Satan’s bait. Prayer walk whenever you can. This is simply walking and silently praying for issues in the area you walk in. 

PRAYER: Father teach me to recognize truth from lies and to realize Satan tries to convince people so much evil is okay and acceptable. Put a hedge of protection around my family to help them stay protected even when surrounded by enemies. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Chill

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.Psalm 46:10

Has anyone ever commented to you that you needed to take a chill pill? This means to not fret or be anxious and try to rest. Or to ‘simmer down’ as a Southern friend of mine would say. 

What is it that has you anxious? Concern maybe over a prayer you think is never going to be answered? Afraid of the future? 

Just remember God holds the future. If it is a child you have concerns for remember He loves them more than you. 

PRAYER: Father I do need to learn to breathe in, breathe out, trust you. Help me learn to leave my concerns and know you are working. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Peace Be With You

 

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.Matthew 5:9

I have been on this earth now since 1953 and have seen and experienced so many changes. My generation was raised during Cuban Missile Crisis and later into the Vietnam War. Also there was prayer in school and the Ten Commandments posted in prominent places. For the most part the only flag waved was the United States flag. 

Peace is something everyone wants to happen but the Bible says that there will be wars. Does that mean you stop everything and build a bunker in your backyard? If you are an American you can be very grateful your life has not resembled war torn nations you see on the news. 

 In Psalm 122:6 it says to Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee. What is happening is in Bible prophesy. Continue to lift up our brothers and sisters in Israel. Understand this is a war between God and the devil. Continue to lift up those led astray by hatred and lies and for truth to prevail. Above all pray for revival. 

PRAYER: I love your word Lord and I know the enemy wants to destroy the Bible and keep people from reading it. Those who have wandered from their first love no doubt were captivated by lures of the enemy and praying for blinders to come off. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

The Enemy Is After Your Purpose

Do not hand me over to the will of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing out violence.Psalm 27:12

Have you struggled with doubts, anger, depression, lack of motivation and so forth. Have you opened the door to the enemy by doing or thinking things you know the Holy Spirit didn’t put there? 

You need light to fight the enemy and as long as you allow dark thinking and live a dark lifestyle and are not running hard after the purpose God created you for you will lack fulfillment. Who are you shutting out? Friends and a church body who are there with open arms. 

Stop listening to the lies of the culture. The culture is managed by Satan who is the god of this world. Why do you continue to pursue a lifestyle that you know displeases God. Do you want your joy back? Running from Christian friends and running from truth only leads to a pit. Refuse to continue letting Satan control you and make you an angry unfulfilled person. Run hard after God and get that burden lifted once and for all. 

PRAYER: I lift up those people who choose to continue to believe the lies of the culture simply because their spiritual life has jumped the track. I pray for healing and deliverance for those who need it. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Guilt And Shame

 

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.1 Corinthians 6:18

Have you been involved in a sin so apart from God you feel God could never accept you back? This is a lie of Satan to keep you disabled in your mind and thoughts. 

The devil is a liar, a thief, a peace stealer. He convinces you that there is no hope. He has taunted people to the point of suicide making them feel there is no way out of what they are going through. 

Todays generation with technology and fake friends on Facebook and social media may have you feeling quite alone. Connection with people and renewing your mind in Christ is essential for a healthy whole life. Don’t believe the lies of Satan that there is no way back to God, purity, and freedom. Christ can set you free. 

PRAYER: Lord guide me each day in truth and knowing you care for me no matter what. Help anyone struggling with lies from the enemy receive a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Money The Root Of Evil?

Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.1Timothy 6:9-10 NIV Bible Gateway

I love watching Grit TV which is cowboy shoes  and old west movies. The main theme of the western expansion of the US seemed to be the quest for gold and wealth. Many times to get it many people were killed with stage coach robberies or bank robberies. 

Things haven’t changed much today in 2023. Sure we need money to live on but the desire for wealth has created broken homes, addictions, selfishness, robberies, Ponzi schemes, cheating and so forth. 

Money and wealth won’t make you happier but in many cases create more problems. Be thankful if you have been blessed with more than you need but realize many things you think you need to be happy really just cause misery. Don’t compare yourself with others. Be content. Stop jealousy. Share. Most Americans are rich compared to rest of the world. 

PRAYERS: Thank you for providing for my basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. Help me find ways to share with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Feet Washing

 

I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet. So you also should wash one another’s feet. I have given you an example. You should do as I have done for you. John 13:14-15

Washing someone’s feet seems strange, invasive, embarrassing. But it is a true symbol of the sold out Radical love of our Savior. Also a sign of Humility.

I have never been to a foot washing ceremony but I have heard of them occurring at weddings where the groom on an act of serving his new bride washes her feet. In the 2022 faith based movie ‘Redeeming Love’ there was a scene where the character Michael Hosea played by actor Tom Lewis washes his brides’ feet, Angel, played by actress Abigail Cowan, after she returned from running away but deciding to return. It was a selfless act of love, humility and service. In the Jesus Revolution movie the pastor washes the hippies feet as they enter the church.

What about you? Could you let someone wash your feet? I know people who don’t like pedicures as it seems so invasive having a person see your ugly gnarled calloused feet. All that does not matter to our savior. What would you do?

PRAYER: Jesus today help me humble myself that the act of foot washing would not seem repulsive but would be an act of love to another. In Jesus’ name. Amen

God's Approachable Table

 

“God’s kindness is meant to lead [us] to repentance.” Romans 2:4

I use the You Version Bible app and I highly recommend it no matter if you are Catholic or Protestant or have no faith at all. In a recent reading on a devotion it said ‘His table was approachable regardless of what your lifestyle was like.” Ponder that. 

Now this statement doesn’t say he gives people a free pass to sin but that he loves you and will still hang out with you. He doesn’t judge and condemn like humans do but is there to love on you. 

Jesus wants us to repent of our sins and run to him. Church attendance can get legalistic and isn’t a guarantee pass to Heaven but it is a way to grow in your faith as long as you find a Bible teaching church. Also Jesus wants little children to know about Him. He wants little children to come to him and learn His love for them. Keep praying for open doors to get people you know and love to embrace the savior. 

PRAYER:Father I know we are not to sin but we are also not to act holier than thou and like we are better than others. Help me show grace and mercy to those you put in my path some of which are family. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Are You Ready?

 

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.Matthew 24:36

Readiness is something important. Winter road crews prepare for snow and ice. Students get ready for tests by studying. Actors get ready for a play by rehearsing. Everything in life takes readiness. 

Are you ready for the most important event that being the return of Jesus Christ? It is going to happen no matter what your particular denomination preaches or omits. The word of God is crystal clear. 

Matthew 24:40 says “ Two men will be plowing a field: one will be taken, and the other will be left in the field.” This is referred to as the rapture. The 'Left Behind' movie trilogy a few years ago highlighted this. Many churches today don’t even preach about this and are doing a great disservice to those attending. You must be ready. It is not just about being nice, being baptized, or attending a certain church. You must truly have been born again. It is something to await joyously not be fearful of. Signs of his coming are even more prevalent today after things happening in Israel. Go in peace, do not fear. 

PRAYER: Father I thank you that you will come again and all that is on this Earth is so minor compared to your glory. I pray for those I know and love who may not be ready. Draw them to you in a powerful life changing way. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Lead Children To Christ

 

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. Matthew 18:6

It is so important to ground your children in the teachings of Jesus. If you believe in Heaven and Hell why would you not want to. Don’t just go to church for the sake of going but find one where the salvation message is preached. 

Many raise their children to love Jesus and then life takes over and the children sadly leave their faith and sad moms and dads are confused and on their knees crying out to God to protect them while they wander away into the wilderness. 

Moms and dads out there, grandmas and grandpas don’t give up on prayer. God hears you. You may not be able to understand how someone one day is on fire for the Lord and the next could care less. Keep crying out to God. Let Him work. 

PRAYER: Lord God put a hedge of protection around any adult children who have decided Jesus is not their ‘thing’ anymore. Guard grandchildren who may not get to go to church due to parents who don’t think it is necessary. Wake up those who have gotten too much into the fun of the world to care. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
