YIKES!

YIKES!!

This is usually the human reaction we get to things when we 'freak out' or start to fret. This could have been my reaction today as I stopped at McDonald's  to post a previously written blog and it was no where to be found. Satan does not like anyone sharing the good news of Jesus and he loves it too when we get stressed and upset and lose our peace as then we can not focus on God. I wrote the missing blog devotion a few days ago but today I can not find it. Am I freaking out? No! I am calm, cool, and collected as I now take a moment here at McDonalds in Ashland, Kentucky to write about peace.

What is causing you to fret today? Worrying and stressing over something does nothing but cause your blood pressure to go up. The best thing is to take a deep breath and stop and pray. I am doing this right now.

The Bible in Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us "Do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and and thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And The peace of God which surpasses all understanding will keep guard your heats and your minds  in Christ Jesus."

Do you have God's perfect peace today?  Also in 1 Peter 5:7 it says to "Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you." A fisherman 'casts' his line as far our in the lake as possible so as to have a better chance to get fish. Like that fisherman we need to verbally cast our prayers up to God. Most things we feet about never happen anyway. Stop right now as take a deep breath breathing out worry and breathe in the peace of Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord  Jesus I will not allow the enemy to come in and steal my joy and peace.  I know that you are the one who wants to shoulder my concerns. Forgive me when I have let the enemy rob me of peace. Satan is a liar and thief and he can not harm me. In Jesus name. Amen.

  1. This is so beautiful. You are right. The enemy is wanting to see us upset and angry. But God is bigger than the enemy. Thank you for this beautiful lesson.
