Our God reigns through the turmoil of lost jobs. Our God reigns through a troubled government. Our God reigns through the premature death of a child. Our God reigns when friends run out on us. Our God reigns when we are unjustly accused. Our God reigns when a child goes astray. Our God reigns when the world seems to cave in. Our God reigns when the stock market crashes. Our God reigns in time of war. Our God reigns when friends reject us.
The point is to not let problems defeat you but to know that God is working in any and all things. He does not cause the chaos but can use things to His glory. He is still here. He is in charge. It is His world after all.
Friend, what has got you down today or to the point you feel life is not worth it? Life is always worth it. God can use you and he loves you. He is not ready for you to quit or cave in to fear and despair. It is the enemy who causes those feelings of defeat. Do not allow Satan to win this battle when you know you can, and will, win the war with Jesus strength and help!!
Repeat after me " My God loves me and has a plan for me." Romans 8:28 says "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purposes." Isaiah 54:10 tells us "
Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you."
Run to Jesus and let Him comfort you as only He can.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus I know you reign forever and ever. At times when I take my eyes off you and focus on the problems around me I can get overwhelmed. Forgive me. I choose to trust and run the race with faith, not fear. In Jesus name. Amen.
