Don't Be Socially Distanced From God

Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. James 4:8

It would be an understatement to say the past almost three months now has been so out of the ordinary for freedom loving people. To be told by the government and medical community we had to act a certain way and also where we could and could not go was a little unnerving. Some accepted it with no questions but others who yearn for their freedom were wound tight.

During this time there have been good  things occur. Families bonding at home, communicating more, playing games, discovering things. But for others the loss of income was a bit much when you could not understand why it had to happen in the first place. Never the less we are told now to stay socially distanced from those strangers and friends we dearly love and want to hug so bad. Why? I am not scared. Hugging is good for the soul. Wash your hands too was repeated over and over and over. Enough already.

At the time this occurred new ways of doing things had to happen and so business owners, school system heads,  and pastors of churches had to do things a bit different. During this social distancing you never want to be distanced from God. This is s time to press in and get to know Him better. I am quite sure many who never even attended a church in person before this have done so now online. What have you done to get closer to the Almighty during this shut in time?

PRAYER; Father I am sorry when there have been days I have gotten angry over what is going on. Help me instead find ways to reach out to those that are alone during this or find creative ways to love my neighbors. I want to know you better and help me not get distracted from digging into your word on a daily basis. In Jesus' name. Amen.
