The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Psalm 24:1
One of my favorite movies of the Christmas season is 'It's A Wonderful Life'. In this movie the star, the late Jimmy Stewart, realizes after wishing he were not alive, that in the end he really did have a wonderful life
Most of us have probably seen this classic movie and if you have not, then do so please. The value of 'things' becomes less important. The problems we think we have are really nothing in the big scheme of things. All those things that upset us are nothing compared to what God has blessed us with.
Do you have a roof over your head, food on the table, a car to drive and clothes to wear? Then your life is pretty wonderful. Do you drink clean water and have a hot shower in the morning? Then your life is petty wonderful. Do you have friends and family who love you? Then your life is pretty wonderful.
Everything in life will pass. What we do for the Lord is what matters. All your problems will one day be behind you. The trials you have gone through are there to help you grow. Jesus can see you through whatever you are facing. Things are often not as bad as we make them out to be.
Today and every day wake up and thank God for another day of life and the experiences he has in store for you. It is indeed a wonderful life!
PRAYER: I thank you for the plan you have for me. I thank you for where you have me right now. Forgive me for complaining and acting pitiful. Help me act powerful instead and be grateful always. In Jesus' name. Amen.
