A diamond is a beautiful gemstone and pretty to look at and wonderful to receive. Diamonds hold special meaning too for the one who receives them. In thinking about a diamond we look at it reflect light, shine and glisten. Our lives as Christians are supposed to be like that diamond. We are hard as a rock and nothing can break us or tear us apart. Our light is to shine. It represents permanence. We are to reflect God's love to others we come in contact with daily. God is flawless and perfect and a diamond is pretty much perfect as well.
Matthew 5:16 says for us to "Let our light shine before others so they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Do you glow for Jesus? Do you sparkle for Him?
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the opportunity we have each day to glisten for you around the people you have placed in our path. Help us not neglect being a good witness for you and shining your love no matter where we are. In Jesus Name. Amen.
