Watch What You Say!



Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words. Proverbs 18:21

All of us are cooped up kind of like on house arrest, minus the guards, watching us. A new kind of temporary existence not socializing with people, hugging or attending church in person has challenged the best of us. 

In some parts of Alaska, cabin fever, like we are experiencing now in the lower 48 and Hawaii, is common in dark winter months. If not careful, abusive behavior could occur and that is what you need to watch out for. Living under the same roof is always an adjustment but when it is around the clock with hardly any space it can challenge the best of married couples. 

Husbands don’t be bitter to the wife of your youth as it says in 1 Peter 3:7.  If you mess up say you are sorry. Take breaks somewhere to have your own space. Sometimes just be still. Praying together  sure helps. Read your Bible. Don’t leave God out of your family life especially during times like we are experiencing. Do something nice for a stranger. Send a card to someone. If your spouse works from home leave a surprise on their desk. All followers of God know Satan is trying to destroy us and he will not succeed. This challenge we are enduring now will produce good results in the end.
