Let God’s Word Spread Like A Virus

But if I say, "I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. Jeremiah 20:9

Virus  is the word we hear non stop since the end of February. The spread, how to contain it, precautions to take, and on it goes. Like a virus that spreads from coughing, sneezing, touching your face or eyes and normally would produce a non fearful common cold or worse case pneumonia or flu. Now it seems we are back in cowboy days when the doctors just had no way to help.

Scary yes but God’s got this. You have heard it before but I will say it again, don’t watch 24-7 news as most stations have nothing positive to report, many have illogical hatred for our President, and it is not a good source of comfort when you are fearful. Tell Alexa, play worship music or Alexa play K Love radio. 

God has given us free time of sorts. Time to make his word take root in your heart as a virus. Do topical studies online. Satan is the one who makes people think church is enough, baptism is enough, joining a church is enough, but where is the passion and the fire for the Lord. Do you feel it? During the duration of this confinement at home use your time wisely. Don’t argue politics on Facebook but do spread the love of Christ and let God’s word spread like an uncontained virus. 

PRAYER: Your word brings me great comfort and joy. I pray for the hearts of those during this time that claim to love God but follow MSNBC,NPR and CNN more than they do the word of God. Change hearts. Give people a passion to turn back to the word of God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
