Do You Have Curb Appeal?

Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

Whenever you sale property you want it to have curb appeal. In other words if the outside does not look attractive and neat, appealing, no one will get past the driveway. You have to tidy it up and spruce it up in order to attract potential buyers.

Does your life as a believer have curb appeal? Do you act self righteous? What about cut people off when talking in order to ‘share’? Do you smile? Are you judgmental? Do you gossip about others seemingly in the name of concern? Do you divulge secrets about others you were told to not tell? Can you be trusted? Do you ever act holier than thou? Do you act like your way of salvation or your church is the only way? Do you post ugly things on social media? Would people want to hang out with you? Are you selfish? Do you lack humility? Do you put others first?

I think I gave given you many things to think about and now is the time to reflect and ask yourself honestly if your life exhibits curb appeal as a Christian. Kind of like the statement “if you were arrested for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you?" Now go in peace and bless another person today. Shine for Jesus!

PRAYER: I am grateful fo so many things and one of the things is my family and my awesome circle of friends. Lord help me forgive when shunned or hurt. Help me to show kindness to others because I never know who just simply needs a smile. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
