2020 Warfare In Progress

May we remember that our wrestle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

The theme since mid March has been making it through these very unusual trying times of Covid-19 not just in the United States but in the entire world. This is a spiritual battle where the enemy the destroyer is trying to take us out through disease. He won’t win. God won’t let him. Take heart. Relax.

This is a very unusual situation we find ourselves a part of. No real control. It can almost drive a person crazy if they allow it to and of course that would be Satan’s way to take us out through mental anguish. Don’t slip my friend. Keep your mind fixed on good things not mindless movies, slip into pornography online, too much screen time on social media, non stop television, or if you don’t you could become a candidate for therapy.

The Bible is our guidebook and should be opened and read daily. Tell yourself each day that you can do this and you will get through this time of isolation from others. If sadly your job is in limbo right now don’t dwell on it. File for unemployment and march on. Look for a new job perhaps you could have during this big shutdown. Help another. Call a single friend or a widow who truly are alone. Read a good book. Start a new hobby. Complete an unfinished project. This IS going to pass and you WILL be stronger!

PRAYER: Oh Lord I need you oh I need you every hour I need you. Give me strength to not focus on bad during this time. Help those first responders find good ways to alleviate the extreme stress they are experiencing and keep them safe. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
