Your Trophy Case

 "Am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God?"Galatians 1:10

Do you have a trophy case at home that house trophies or medallions from sports or maybe you have wild game mounted ‘heads’ that are trophies too if your accomplished feat of landing the big one? 

The only trophy we really need is from God and it is written on our hearts knowing we are doing work that honors him. I have received things for milestones in writing and they are nice but the best reward will be “well done good and faithful servant”. 

Certificates, awards, trophies are all nice for earthly accomplishments but only what is done for Christ will matter. 

PRAYER: I am grateful for being awarded things on this Earth and help me not get too puffed up as my reward is in Heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

The Dash

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”Jeremiah 29:11

When you go into a graveyard you likely see headstones bearing the name of the person who is deceased as well as two dates separated by a dash. That dash represents the entire life of the person who is buried there. 

What is happening in your “dash” time? What are you accomplishing for the kingdom? Whose life are you building into? 

You never know when your dash time will come to an end so you try to make use of every moment God gives you to make an impact on this Earth. Don’t compare your dash to another’s as everyone has a purpose here on Earth and is unique.
