WWJD Revisited Daily

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.Ephesians 4:29
A few years back the phrase WWJD or “what would Jesus do” became popular but it is good to refer to daily. In life you deal with all sorts of people and not all of them are Christlike. Some may be incredibly be spouses, children, friends. To know how to respond like Christ would is important.

Not everyone is led or filled with the Holy Spirit. I heard a message at church a couple weeks ago about the way we respond to people is our reaction to Jesus because he made all of us. Not everyone follows him but still they are His creations and made in His image.

I am not sure what you are dealing with but I am here to say to you that try as best you can to overlook some people’s ugliness and rude treatment and shine your light. You may have to confront the individual if a family member or close friend and they may get defensive. People can be downright mean. I don’t know who has hurt you with words but forgive them and pray for them. Ask God to make them aware of their verbal abuse and deliver them into his kingdom. Treat everyone like they are Jesus.

PRAYER: I am so very thankful for the gift of being able to speak, shout, sing, and praise God. The voice is an incredible creation. Help me Father to use my words to build up people and not belittle them or gossip about them. Help me be able to forgive those who have crushed my spirit with their words. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

  1. Becky: This is another great message. Our response to certain stimuli from the world tells those around us that we are Christians. We must follow His leading at all times. Peace and blessings.
