This is the day people like to play jokes on others with the statement ‘April Fools’. Not sure where it originated from but get ready it may happen to you.
The Bible speaks many times about not being foolish. Do a word search in scripture on ‘fool’ and you will see quite a few. A fool is a person who acts unwisely or is silly according to the dictionary.
There is a verse that says “a companion of fools will suffer ruin” found in Proverbs 13:20. Friends can make you or break you and if you hang out with foolish people then you are warned in scripture. So this day may be a day of pranks but beware to be a fool is not a good thing. Purpose in your heart you do not intend to be a fool and will be wise to be careful who you choose for friends.
PRAYER: Lord thank you for warning us in scripture on what to avoid to stay on the right path. Our world is so upside down today and we need your wisdom to guide us to truth. Give me a listening ear to heed good sound teaching and stay away from fools. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
