My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20
Probably you have at one time either honked your horn at a driver not paying attention or maybe done it simply out of anger and frustration.
Warning devices are on cars and trucks for a reason to make someone aware or can also be to wake them up if they don’t see a traffic light change. Whatever the case, it is never good to honk your horn in anger because this can lead to further anger and even road rage.
Next time you want to toot your car horn at someone don’t follow it up with a hand gesture or ugly facial expression but simply do it if there is a legit reason and move on. Whatever causes you to be angry really stop, take a breath, and relax before you react if possible. Today’s verse Is good to commit to memory or any situation where you could wind up being mad and reacting in an inappropriate manner.
PRAYER:I am grateful Lord for emotions but don’t like being angry. The enemy wants me angry because from there arguments can ensue and my witness is blown out of the water. I pray to be able to maintain peace and I pray for those I know who use social media for anger as well that the Holy Spirit convict each person of remaining calm and letting things go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
