PEACE VERSUS FEAR

It is so very easy to get fearful. We can choose to remain peaceful or we can choose to lose our peace and fret. Lately for we in America the situation overseas has become tense with an American Ambassador to Libya murdered as well as three others. This can strike fear in our hearts when terrorists infiltrate this country and we are too politically correct or worried about offending them so we do nothing. There have been too many attacks inside our own country and yet the government wants to slash the Defense budget leaving us practically defenseless and unable to be a world super power. America's are angry and fearful. In a time like this we have no one else to turn to but God. It is scary.

We can fret and wonder what this world is turning into and wonder if our our borders will be infiltrated even more or we can trust God and stand on His promises in order to know we will be okay. Worrying does nothing but make us sick and scared.

Your assignment today is to get your Bible out and turn to Psalm 91 in the Old Testament and read it . This chapter contains sixteen verses of peace for your soul. Isaiah 41:10 says " Do not fear for I am with you and be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Try to memorize that verse and know God is with you. Give him your fears and concerns as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 " Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you."

PRAYER: Lord you alone are a shield, a protector. You are our rock and our strong fortress. I need not fear for you are with me always. In Jesus name. Amen.

Note: For those of you who are looking for an alternative to cartoons on Saturday morning tune in to Adventures in Dry Gulch known also as Gospel Bill. That is where this music video came from. The show has been around since our sons were small. I am not sure what netword carries it but on Trinity Broadcasting there are a host of good children's programs on Saturdays.
