Testing, Testing

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

"The teacher is always quiet during the test" was a phrase uttered by actor Pat Boone during the recent film 'Gods' Not Dead 2'. His character was the father of a school teacher played by actress Melissa Joan Hart who was undergoing a court trial because of her faith.

When you go through trials sometimes you may feel where is God in all this? Why is this happening? I have done nothing wrong. The statement about the teacher being quiet during a test in class is true. Often our teacher, God, is often silent during our 'tests' too. This is the time for our faith to stretch its' muscles and grow.

If you are going through something know that God can and will use whatever it is for his glory and your spiritual growth. You have to continue to press on with courage only He can give.

PRAYER: Tests of any kind aren't pleasant to endure but I do realize you can strengthen me and help see me through. In Jesus' name. Amen.
