Whoever controls his mouth protects his own life. Whoever has a big mouth comes to ruin (Proverbs 13:3 GWT).
Oh to control the words that you say wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were no problems in that area. Words are what cause conflicts, misunderstandings, hurt feelings, broken relationships, and much more.
To be able to instead utilize your mouth for the glory of God and do things like praise, thanksgivings, compliments,kindnesses. The tongue is a deadly weapon it says in James 3. Read the entire chapter.
Why not start this month by insuring that only good things are said and if you instead feel like arguing, complaining, or bickering then be silent. Think before you overreact. Let’s give it a try.
PRAYER: This is the day you have made and I don’t want to be hurting anyone I know with cruel or misunderstood words. Give me strength to use my tongue for good not evil. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Good message. I try to remember this verse, especially the last part. Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." luke 6:45 (NKJV)
