Much is going on in our land today. It is enough to make mens' hearts fail for fear. Today I am copying Psalm 46 because it is a good chapter to give us hope. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolation's he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge."
There you have it in a nutshell from the Holy Bible. God will be exalted. He reigns on high. All the trouble in the earth is not greater than what God can handle and get us out of. He has a plan and he is on the throne. He wants us to trust him and have faith and above all to keep praying. Never in my lifetime have I seen the US being threatened from forces within and outside of the country. People are taking sides and fighting and some can not seem to get a grasp that anything really bad is happening. The enemy has blinded a lot of people. Socialism is on the doorstep and with it comes the lack of freedoms we have enjoyed. But God is not done and he has a plan. Have faith. God is mightier than man and his ways are perfect. He is able to still save us.
PRAYER: Lord thank you for freedom. Thank you for your word the Bible. Lord Jesus we know you are bigger than any situation or any problem in our nation or world right now. Keep us from worrying. For so long we have seen the erosion of values and morals and now it is creeping up on us in a big way. Father forgive us for being complacent and not speaking out for righteousness when we had a chance. Deliver us from evil. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen!
