No Arm Twisting

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.John 16:13

Did you know only the Holy Spirit can convict a person’s heart and change them? If you are like me it is easy to want to imagine that is your job but it’s not. As Christian Bible teacher and speaker Joyce Meyer says you are not Holy Spirit Junior.

Your job is to mind your own business and pray and keep praying. Once you have prayed that prayer is out there out of your hands and into God’s. Don’t try to speed up the process.

Things take time. Miracles take time. Conviction takes time. It is a process and God has a plan so be still.

PRAYER: I love your word. Many times I don’t understand why things are going the way they are but you do that is all that matters. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

One Team, One Dream

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Just ‘borrowed’ my title from a girl’s tee shirt at a coffee shop. One team could be Jesus and his followers.  One dream is for  everyone to be saved. Great idea for sharing God’s love!

At my former church in Alabama the volunteers were known as the Dream Team. Our Dream was to know Jesus, find freedom, discover our purpose and make a difference. 

Have you found freedom in Christ? Freedom from strongholds, wrong thinking, addictions, past messed up life.

Church is not just something nice to do but should be a place to get your spiritual tank refilled and also to ask Jesus to be Lord of your life and repent from your sins that keep you from a close relationship. Are you sure that if you died today you would be in Heaven? Something to seriously think about. 

PRAYER: Father I commit my life to you each day. Help me not fritter away my time but make an impact for the kingdom. Guard my heart from anything that would bring you sadness. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

You Have Lost Connection To The Server

 

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers,neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38-39 NIV Bible Gateway

Don’t you get frustrated when you are in the middle of something on your computer or phone and get the error message that you have been disconnected from the server?Communication is a pretty amazing thing in and of itself starting with western Union, then telephones and now everyone is wireless.

Disconnects are frustrating or losing a signal but sometimes they are refreshing to have peace. Did you know you are never disconnected from God.

Nothing separates you from God. He loves you. He wants you to share your heart with Him. If you hurt let Him know.

PRAYER: Father your word lights my way in the darkness around me. Even when alone you are with me and I am grateful. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

How Is Your Love?

 

Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, ..." 1 Corinthians 13:4 (NASB)

When tested? When someone hurts you or says ugly things? When someone won’t forgive you? When a person has gossiped behind your back? When a person betrays you? 

 

These things are all possible scenarios for testing how your love meter is functioning. If you walk by the Spirit you are not to be led by the flesh it says in Galatians 5:16. The flesh is mean and thinks only of itself. Is that you? Hopefully not. 

Read the entire chapter of 1 Corinthians 13 about love. It is referring to love in general not romantic love. God’s greatest commandment affectionately known as the 11th commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself. Take some time alone talking to God. Do you need to be set free perhaps from  a stronghold of hate that is keeping you from fully loving people? Anyway something to ponder. 

PRAYER: Lord I need you every hour. I pray for anyone who has a crushed or wounded spirit. I pray you will set captive people free from strongholds in their life. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Stop Comparing Yourself To Others

 

Don’t compare yourself with others. Just look at your own work to see if you have done anything to be proud of. You must each accept the responsibilities that are yours.Galatians 6:4-10

Everyone has different gifts, abilities, talents and so forth and just because you don’t sew or build things doesn’t make you less than a person. Each of us is a different being God has a distinct purpose for. And different preferences abound as well. 

I know sometimes I can feel lazy when I hear so and so cans vegetables and I do not.  Some people love Costco and I do not enjoy going into that store as I don’t need bulk stuff. You get the point. Everyone is skilled in different ways. God still loves us. 

Whatever you are gifted to do be thankful. Just because your talent is not showcased somewhere doesn’t matter. Be thankful for who God made you to be. I have one son who lives and loves airplanes and is now a commercial pilot. My other son takes care of emergencies as a medical professional in ER. Everyone is different. Work at what do with a smile. 

PRAYER: Father thank you for gifts you have blessed me with. I ask that you help me not listen to the voice of the enemy causing me to compare and put myself down. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Counterfeits Around You

 

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.

Romans 16:17 NLT

Not every person who claims to follow Christ will lead you the right way. There are false teachers out there. Sometimes I wonder if the false teachers even know they are false teachers. 

Pray the Holy Spirit will give you discernment. If you have your senses exercised to godliness you should be able to recognize counterfeits. Ask God to help you know truth from lies. 

The truth of God sets people free. Confusion and lies are from the devil. Continue to pray, read scripture, get in a Bible believing church where salvation and redemption are cornerstones of teaching. Above all keep Jesus first! 

PRAYER: Each day my souls yearns for you Lord. I pray for those I know who have no desire to walk with you or have a relationship with you. Guard my heart so I don’t fall into apathy. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Let God Carry Your Burdens

 

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” Psalm 55:22

Do you have days you just feel like you want to crawl back into bed but that is not an option. Perhaps whatever you are dealing with has overwhelmed you and you just want to rest. 

Casting a burden is more about getting your mind off your problem by not constantly thinking about it. You pray but nothing seems to happen. Keep praying. 

Trusting God is a discipline that requires patience. Empty your negative thoughts. Put on a sound machine with ocean waves or listen to praise music. Talk to God and tell Him what is going on. You will get through this. 

PRAYER: Father I seek your face each day. I yearn for you in a dry and weary land. Lead me to a rock that is higher than my problems. I trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread

"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:19.

My title of course is from the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13. I thought it would be appropriate to just meditate on this for a moment.

His provision for you and I is beyond measure. He will guide you, strengthen you, and feed you. He doesn’t want you to be lazy but cry out to Him thanking Him for taking care of your daily needs.

It is easy to gripe and complain and for those of us in the Western world we are blessed and that comes as a result of our nation being a blessing to others. Don’t act like a spoiled brat but sincerely thank him for all you have and stop making comparisons to others.

PRAYER: Lord I thank you and praise you for being a good good God who watches over me and provides for me daily. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Keep Making A Difference

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.Ephesians 2:10 NIV Bible Gateway

 

What are you here on this Earth for? Every child that is born has a distinct reason for being here. For some it is an agonizing journey getting there. 

I would say it is to make a difference in another person’s life without even needing a pat on the back. If you are mobile and can get outside you probably see a person or persons who need God’s love showered on them. 

If you can’t actually ‘do’ try smiling. I did this on a recent vacation and wanted to see how many responded. Kindness can melt hearts. Show God you are a willing vessel. 

PRAYER: Lord I trust you to direct my path and open doors no man can shut to be able to make a difference. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Do You Feel Disconnected?

 Do You Feel Disconnected? 

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16767

You may lead a wonderful life with no real issues to speak of but that is rare. Disconnections do occur in life. 

Perhaps you are shut off from grandchildren not having a real part in their life. It could be a divorce has separated you from your own children. Maybe you feel disconnected from God but know you need to find a place to worship each week. It could be you feel disconnected from a family member. Someone has set up boundaries for you and you feel like a caged animal. 

One cure for loneliness and feeling a disconnection is to spend time talking to God and reading scripture. Download the You Version Bible App. Don’t run and hide in social media. Try to focus on being still. Don’t speculate or let your mind become a tangled mess. Continue to talk to God. He hurts with you. 

PRAYER: Father you hear my heart. You know pain I feel and hurt I feel. I want to be transformed to be more like you. Help me know when to speak and when to be silent. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Winking At Evil

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20-21 KJV Bible Gateway

 

If you call yourself a follower of Christ you should be sad about things that make God sad. Our culture is attempting to desensitize the masses, to include children, to evil so when you speak out against it you can be ridiculed or almost hated.

In 2 Timothy 4:3 it says “For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.”

Winking at evil is exactly what even some churches do. We are to love yes but also teach the truth in love. 

Standing up for righteousness is not easy. It is Satan you are fighting against never forget that. In Matthew 10:22 it says “and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

PRAYER: Lord it is a difficult time we live in trying to live a life for you but society condemning us or even family. Give me strength to stand firm. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Fear Not

So do not fear, for I am with you;do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

In a couple of months the month of ‘worldly fear’ will be upon us for 31 days. Yes Halloween. I don’t particularly like it or understand why so many get so crazy over it. Like it or not the ‘world’ loves it and all the demonic stuff accompanying it. 

Right now scary horror movies are in theaters. Many are captivated by these and can’t seem to get enough. Psalm 101:3 tells you not to set any vile thing before your eyes. Hmmm. 

The fear mentioned here in this verse refers to fear or men, or situations, or problems. God will help you if you call on Him. 

PRAYER: Lord I want to be able to not be fearful of terror or doom knowing you are with me always. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fruit Of Your Labor

 

 "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" 1 John 3:17

Having an income is the fruit of your labor. God blessed you with a job in order so you can be taken care of. Don’t resent people with more but be thankful for what you have. 

Don’t ever let money become your God. You need a plan for budgeting even if you are abundantly blessed. God promises to honor those who are honoring them so are you tithing because you want to? 

Do all you can to not go into debt, such as distinguishing your  wants and needs. Avoid the temptations of pop ups thinking you need everything they suggest. Debt destroys people and families. The late Larry Burkett has great teaching and helps for managing your money. I have included a link to his organization so check it out. Remember all you have belongs to God.

What Do You Want God To Help You With?

“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

Life has twists and turns, ups and downs, unexpected losses. Being on the receiving end of emotional hurt after being shunned by a person in your life maybe even a family member. 

God is here always. Talk to Him instead of getting on Facebook then bemoaning the fact your life is not like someone else’s. If you can keep your focus centered on God you can defeat the social media blues. Politics is certainly a stressor so try to not engage in debates on social media. 

Pray for those you know whose heart is broken, confused, lonely, and it may even be you who needs prayers. Many things are things God is working on but needs you to be still. It’s hard. I know. Hang in there and let God work. Don’t stop praying. 

PRAYER: Father I love that I know you are working on things I pray for. My heart aches at times but I cry out to you to help me stay still while you work. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Just Let Things Go

 

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.1 Corinthians 13:4-5 NIV Bible Gateway

Is there something or someone you have been trying to let go of but maybe your thoughts don’t want to let you?

You might be mad at an oversight. Perhaps your family has hurt you. Maybe it is a wounded spirit that just seems to not heal or something someone says to you years ago is stuck on instant replay in your thoughts.

Whatever the issue you can’t truly show love, kindness or move on in life until you can let things go. Sometimes trying to work things out backfires so as much as you want to do something please give it to God. I am talking to myself too.

PRAYER: Lord I need your help to break strongholds of wrong thinking that seem to plague me constantly. I choose to seek you and not get caught up in speculation and what if’s. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

The Basket Case

Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.Isaiah 41:10

Probably everyone has heard the story of the prophet Moses as an infant placed  in a basket and left at the Nile River bank in order to protect him. (See Exodus 2). His mother put him away to protect him. 

Maybe this is not in the same context but is there a prodigal child in your life, a broken relationship with a sibling, or some other situation? You have prayed for the Lord to work but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. God heard you friend so trust Him. 

Maybe it is time to put your Moses situation in a basket and trust that God has big plans. 

PRAYER: Hurting hearts know no season. In every season of life storms occur. Trials I know build my faith. I trust you in my storm Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Hey Say Thanks To God

 

Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Ephesians 5:20 NIV Bible Gateway

I watched a story on the History channel recently featuring a civilian helicopter pilot who violently crashed yet walked away and not once did I hear him utter that he thanks God for sparing his life. Called it good luck or something.

There is a saying that there are no atheists in foxholes and I imagine there has been much truth to that statement. When you know your life could end in an instant in wartime you acknowledge your creator.

Whether it is being grateful for another day of life, food on your table, good health, a job, friends, even trials don’t forget to say thanks to the Lord. Be sure not to get so busy you forget to say thankyou to God who watches over you daily.

PRAYER: Father I give thanks for not being hungry. For running water. So much to be grateful for. Forgive me if I ever blow it off. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Where Is Your Delight?

 

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.Psalm 1:1-2 NIV Bible gateway 

These two verses are two of my absolute favorite. Read them out loud.

Do you meditate on God’s word day and night? If not what is stopping you? Are you going to a church that makes you hungry for more of God? 

Church is community but so much more. It is about getting wounds healed. It is not a judgment zone because all of us have sinned. It should be a place where all generations are welcome and find a place of service. Realize if you are a believer who has been redeemed and set free God can use you to guide others to truth. If you go to a church that doesn’t offer this freedom it may be time to find a new home. 

PRAYER: Father I long to hear your word and my heart aches for those who Satan has lead astray away from you and for those who think what they do on Sunday is enough. Continue to make me thirsty for more of you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Are You Slow To Anger?

 

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;James 1:19 ESV Bible Gateway

Do you consider yourself an angry person or at times are there certain people you feel justified to be angry and treat poorly even though that displeases God?

This verse is pretty clear. Would be a great verse for marriages and for all of us to memorize and really sincerely practice. It is the devil who wants to keep you angry at a person. It is not a loving thing it very kind to continually hold a fault over a person’s head. Have you done this my friend? 

You can be forgiven if you truly want to but you have to repent, or turn away from thus action or the feeling you have a right somehow to continue your angry tirade. Do you want peace and good health. Forgive, move on, and let things go.

PRAYER: Father help me to always forgive and not go to bed angry. Help those struggling to forgive to get God’s help to break that stronghold in their life. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

9-11-01 That Sad Fateful Day

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Many reading may have been children or not even born on this day. I and a majority of Americans remember it clearly. First the entire US was clear blue and 22 or in other words good weather everywhere in the lower 48. 

Not since the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941 had America been attacked on her own shore by enemies diametrically opposed to what America stood for. So two major symbols of economic prosperity, skyscrapers , were used as targets as jumbo jets taken over by terrorists from the Middle East flew moments apart early in the morning into the Twin Towers of The World Trade Center in NYC. Thousands perished in the planes, on the ground, and in the towers. Rescue workers perished as well. Also a plane flew into the Pentagon and another crashed in Pennsylvania. 

Shock, disbelief, anger, sadness, horror, were only a few of the emotions displayed on this day. This forever changed America. American flags sold out as those who never owned one ran out to get one for their house or car to stand in solidarity with fellow Americans. Sadly we have a short memory as now that patriotic zeal we had then at that level has wained. Evil was allowed to creep not only into our country but into the government of our country. What America stands for should never be challenged. Brother and sister I continue to pray you stay vigilant and on guard against those who would want to hurt American ideals. But remember to pray for your enemies(Matthew 5:44). 

PRAYER: Father I lift up those people some of them in our own country who don’t like America. I pray for truth to be taught in classrooms across America. I pray anyone who would want to do something like this again be found out and dealt with. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Counterfeits Around You

There are financial investigation experts that deal with currency who can tell a counterfeit bill. Sometimes it is not as easy to detect a counterfeit poser in the faith community.

If you are well versed in scripture you should be able to spot people trying to lead others astray.

2 Peter 2:1 says “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” My friend just as we tell people to know the Constitution and Bill of Rights, you better also get familiar with the BIBLE.

PRAYER: Father I pray for anyone who is confused about Biblical truth. I pray God’s word makes things crystal clear. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Crisis Of Faith

 

 "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."James 1:12

Have you or anyone you know ever experienced a crisis of faith meaning the faith you were living, your born again experience and so much more goes by the wayside because of a tragic life altering event. A death, a desire to live an alternate lifestyle, not believing the word is truth. Add yours I am sure you can. 

Satan loves these vulnerable moments cause he and his demonic brigade can put bizarre thinking into your brain. If you have chosen to toss your Bible either aside or in the trash then there is no real truth to sustain you. 

What if you are waiting for a person to be released from Satan’s lions den of falsehood? You simply keep on the armor of God and you can pray for the armor of God for the person going through this. Satan will not be the victor. 

PRAYER: Lord it breaks my heart when a person’s loss or choices sends them far from God. It is hard to not say anything. Help me Lord know you are in control. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

What Has You Troubled?

In the day of my trouble I call on you, for you will answer me.Psalm 86:7

Does anything have you troubled right now? Sometimes your thoughts cause you to create scenarios that get you upset or anxious. Oh to control those thoughts is half the battle. 

Your skewed thinking can even create tension between you and a significant other that was never intended. Stop letting your mind go on vacation jumping into the pit of despair. 

In your day or days of trouble don’t let Satan get the best of you. Stand up to him and declare you refuse stinking thinking then move on.  

PRAYER: Lord I can only control me but help me get self control over wrong thinking patterns which tend to bring delight to the demons in hell. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

All My Life You Have Been Faithful Lord

 

There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain. 1 Timothy 6:8

Do you ever feel like where did God go and why am I not seeing answers to prayers? Often the storms of life are preparing you for a higher level. That is the opposite of what Satan wants you to believe. 

Even before you paid any attention to God He was there for you waiting for you to cry out to Him. Many think they don’t need him because “hey I got  baptized as a baby”  so kind of like life insurance for some. 

I have been praying for revival to break forth in the media, schools, public square, and many more places and hey yes The Church! The Lord is waiting and doesn’t want anyone to perish. (2Peter 3:9).

PRAYER: Lord my hearts break for people who have been sucked into the culture and who have been serving Satan without even knowing it. May you light a spiritual fire in the hearts of men, women, children and churches. Oh yes bring revival to our schools and teachers too. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Obey God And Let Him Take Care Of The Problem

 

Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you. Jeremiah 32:17 NIV Bible Gateway

Nothing is too hard for God!Do you believe that? Being able to be released from a court summons. Rescuing a failing friendship. Saving a marriage. Paying off an overdue bill. Getting a clean bill of health after having a bad diagnosis. Waiting on a prodigal child to return.

What is going on in your corner of the world today? Most of the problems in the Western world are minor in comparison to those who live under persecution. Many here do endure heartache daily though. Don’t ever think you have the monopoly on hurt or loss.

Do you have friends and family who love you, be grateful. Pray for those you know who need a fresh wind blown by the Holy Spirit. Start each day with your shoes of peace(armor of God) on and walk in peace for yourself and for others around you. Do not engage in senseless debate. Don’t worry about Facebook or Instagram. Get your Bible and begin reading Psalm 1. Now go have a good day.

PRAYER: Father God your love surrounds me daily yet sometimes I am too self absorbed to realize it. I choose to cast my cares on you and walk in peace. I pray for any I know who are being led astray by seducing spirits. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have You Encountered Christ?

 

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3

The Devil loves dead churches, denominational squabbles, hard headed people and those who love this world more than God. 

God goes after messed up people and churches should be a hospital for broken people, period. How many churches simply just preach a message on Sunday but it is not a message of healing, repentance, or deliverance? Church is not a club.

Where is your heart today? Is it angry at God? Is it stuck in tradition, which gets you no where? Do you feel a tugging at your heart for more of God but do not know where to go and what to do? What worked for grandma and grandpa may not be where God wants you. Do you know you need Him? Cry out to Him. 

PRAYER: Father your word is true and unchanging. I pray that any one who needs deliverance and healing can find it. I pray for pastors, rabbi’s, and priests to find the truth if they have not already. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Is Sin Clinging To You And You Don’t Realize It?

 

You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?Galatians 5:7 NIV Bible Gateway

You may have heard the story of the frog in the pot of water on a stove and the heat is gradually turned up until the frog dies as a result. Sin is like that.

You can truly become desensitized to all forms of sin and unless you hear from the pulpits each Sunday about confessing your sins or simply avoid church you too are in danger just like that frog.

The devil makes sin attractive or tries to change God’s word so it is accepted or not that bad. Even the simple act of gossip is also sinning so beware before you become holier than thou. Be concerned about our world if you aren’t already. Search your heart and ask God if anything displeases him. Maybe you need to cast off works of darkness that are taking you further away from the Savior. Maybe it is who you choose to hang out with. Time to talk to God.

PRAYER: I choose this day to run my race to win. I pray for anyone who thinks they don’t need God or sees nothing wrong with the way they live. Help those I love choose to celebrate life with you Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Mind Your Own Business

 

Make it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before. Then people who are not believers will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12

Busybodies don’t win too many friends. Someone who pries into another’s business can end up being un unwelcome pest. Certainly you don’t want to be meddling in your extended families business either. Learning  to respect others is important as well as giving people space.

The Bible mentions busy bodies and meddlers in several verses.  Being a meddler not a great personality trait.

Mind your own business for sure making sure you take care of yourself and your business and not snoop in others.

Small Acts Of Kindness

 

"Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience."Colossians 3:12

This world could sure use lots of people doing kind things. Even small things. A small thing can be used by God in a huge way.

Giving a small gift to a friend. Paying it forward at drive thru. Putting a five dollar bill in the homeless person’s can at stop light. Invite a friend for coffee and pay. Write a letter to a shut in or call someone. Smiling at people. Letting someone go in front of you on highway.

When you are kind to another a side effect is you will feel better as well. Go give it a try.

PRAYER: Father God help me to recognize the huge need for reaching out in kindness to people alone, forgotten, lonely, abandoned. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.John 13:34

When I saw this vanity tag I was flabbergasted cause it appeared to be saying  ‘Hate people’ oh my word. Is the owner of the vehicle that bears this tag an extremely agitated unhappy person to go so far to pay extra to put it for all to see on a vehicle tag? 

On this same morning I saw this tag I observed another car of a much happier individual the tag said ‘LTSTRVL’ and I said yes “Let’s Travel!“ My middle name is ‘go’ after all. 

If you had a tag with a message on it what would it convey about you to those who passed you on the highways and byways? If you don’t feel joyful why not?There are many hurt depressed people in the world that need a God hug from a believer. Can you show God’s love to someone today? 

PRAYER: Lord help me be kind to all I meet even with a smile as you never know what is going on in a person’s life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
