Counterfeits Around You

 

And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them.Romans 16:17 NLT

There are financial investigation experts that deal with currency who can tell a counterfeit bill. Sometimes it is not as easy to detect a counterfeit poser in the faith community.

If you are well versed in scripture you should be able to spot people trying to lead others astray.

2 Peter 2:1 says “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” My friend just as we tell people to know the Constitution and Bill of Rights, you better also get familiar with the BIBLE.
