You Have Lost Connection To The Server

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 8:38-39 NIV Bible Gateway
Don’t you get frustrated when you are in the middle of something on your computer or phone and get the error message that you have been disconnected from the server?Communication is a pretty amazing thing in and of itself starting with western Union, then telephones and now everyone is wireless.
Disconnects are frustrating or losing a signal but sometimes they are refreshing to have peace. Did you know you are never disconnected from God.
Nothing separates you from God. He loves you. He wants you to share your heart with Him. If you hurt let Him know.
PRAYER: Father your word lights my way in the darkness around me. Even when alone you are with me and I am grateful. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Press On...Hang On To God!

And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.2 Peter 3:15-16

A grieving widower, a friend with cancer, you or spouse overlooked for promotion or bonus, friend lost house in a natural disaster, snubbed by friends due to ‘stupid politics’, family who is dealing with an unexplained child illness, and many other scenarios are very painful if you are the one enduring them.

Hurt and pain are part of life and also can be tools God used to mold character as long as you can remember to not act like you know more than God and shake your fist at him.

What do you say to someone who is close to you to lift their spirits and help get their life back on the right course? The main thing is to not quote scriptures to them but be there with them to encourage and give a hug. As a new year has just begun it is time to reflect on what you want to pursue and do different as the calendar changes. Just know you are not alone.

PRAYER: Lord when the world seems to cave in around me help me to press on and know I am not abandoned. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Love In This Crazy World

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us” 1 John 4:11-12.

It is a crazy world we live in today when what was right is being called wrong and many are being deceived and sucked into this wrong politically correct belief system which is far from God’s word. People get ugly and mean and attack. My friend this is not of God but straight from the pit of Hell.

When a sitting Congresswoman encourages hatred by asking her followers to attack those leaders who don’t believe as she does that is indeed the epitome of evil. What we believers need to do is not chime in with the vitriol and hate spewing forth but pray and show love. Keep in mind deceiving spirits have captivated many, some maybe in your own family, to not hear the truth. It is a battle of good versus evil, spiritual warfare, don’t be fooled.

Psalm 35:20 says “For they do not speak peace but they devise deceitful matters against  the quiet ones in the land.” Are you able to love and pray for your enemies?  I am talking about people wanting you to trip and fall. Those crooked people who seem to get by with doing wrong. My friend now is the time for love and in a big way. Don’t let the forces of darkness keep you from praying and loving.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus we are commanded to pray for our enemies and to love those who are against us. A tall order for sure when humanly I feel like being ugly. Calm my heart Lord and help me remember you are indeed in control. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Don't Let Satan Control Your Emotions

"We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." 2 Corinthians 10:5
I pride myself in being a pretty cheerful person but every now and then my mind may wander and get my moods in a funk and emotions messed up. I always feel this is the enemy messing with me as he knows that can be my weak area if only he can get me off course. You may have a similar problem. You convince yourself people don't like you or you conjure up scenarios of fear in your mind. That is why one of the best selling books by author and Bible teacher Joyce Meyer is 'Battlefield of the Mind'.

Satan knows if he can get into your thought life he can wage his war. To combat this it is necessary to have a steady diet of scripture, prayer, and meditating on good things. Don't let your mind drift somewhere. Tell Satan to get behind you and quote some Scripture to him. Prayer and praise are valuable tools as well.

Keep your mind on good things by not letting bad things enter your mind. This could mean changing what you watch on TV, read, or listen to. It is your mind, so you choose do you want it filled with things of this world or heavenly things. Not a hard decision I wouldn't think.

PRAYER: I need to make sure I am not daydreaming about wrong things and I need your help Lord to stay focused on positive uplifting thoughts. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Forget About It!

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Philippians 4:6

Have you heard the phrase "Don't sweat the small stuff?" It is very true. Many minor things in life can put us in a tail spin as we hyper focus on them. In the big scheme of things so many tiny issues do not matter anyway.

In my devotion time recently I was listening to the audio stream on the app called 'Abide' and was told to breathe in God's goodness. Do that right now. Stop what you are doing for a moment and thank God for this day. Next ask Him to use you to make a difference. Next breathe out concerns on your heart and give them to God. He has your back. So much that we think is important really is not.

So today right now ask God to take the controls of your life and give your cares no matter how big or small to Him.

PRAYER: Forgive me Lord for thinking anything I can do will change something. I know you are in control of the 'big picture' and all the little things I let bother me are not that important. I trust you Lord to guide my steps today. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Make A Difference

"Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” Hebrews 13:16

What have you done recently to make a difference in someone's life? Think on that for awhile.  We are meant to be able to not be self centered but to be God and others centered. Of course this world we live in does nothing through advertising to make you think that but it is all about me, myself, and I. When you can go beyond self for a change and help someone in need it is a good feeling. When you do something there is no need to boast about it as God knows and He is only one who matters.

Look around you and see what needs are out there that you are able to help with. Perhaps just a listening ear or making time for a friend. Treating someone to coffee or lunch. Sending a note or card to an elderly relative. Praying for your enemies is a good one and does not require much. Donate money to a friend in need. Help with someone's medical bills. Give a gift for no reason. Visit a nursing home. Volunteer to help someone pack up if they are moving and seek help. Volunteer time at a shelter. Do hospital or prison ministry if this is an area you are drawn to. Make a meal for someone who has had death in family or just needs a friend. Remember to help widows especially if they have no family around.

When you do things do not expect rewards for it but do it because you truly want to. Resist the urge to tell others as well. God is your true rewarder.

PRAYER: Lord make me aware of needs around me. Thank you for providing things in my life so I in turn can bless someone else. Help me never be selfish with my money or my time. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Pray First And Always

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Are you believing for something in your life? Maybe in the natural people may say it is impossible. Perhaps you are faced with a seemingly difficult stressful situation. What is your normal response when under pressure? The answer should not be "freak out" but it should be to pray and keep praying. Nay sayers, maybe some even close to you, may say it is useless or there is no hope.

No matter what situation you are up against the natural man wants to fret, worry, stress, and lose control. The godly man chooses to think it through and let God be the guide. When letting the natural man be in control ultimately Satan is the winner as he has you not trusting God and not believing in miracles.
I don't know about you, but I want to let God help me control my emotions under pressure. Humanly it is easy to just lose it under certain circumstances but why not practice crying out to God when you feel like doing otherwise.

PRAYER: I love you Lord and thank you for the perfect peace that I experience when I go to you in prayer. In Jesus' name. Amen.

S.W.A.T. For The Lord

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12
The acronym S.W.A.T. means 'Special Weapons and Tactics' and refers to the special teams in law enforcement called out in special situations to handle complex issues. I was in a local coffee shop one day when a group of them came in for coffee on way to training no doubt. They were in their camouflage and had gun holsters on and their badges.
As a believer we too are on a S.W.A.T. Team for the Lord. Our special weapon is prayer and claiming the promises in the Bible. We are armed and dangerous and with the armor of God can defeat the attacks of our arch enemy Satan who roams the Earth trying to destroy us. So many fall into his trap because they are unaware of his schemes and deceit.
Most people own a Bible. It is your greatest weapon against the devil but has to be more than a coffee table decoration. Use it daily to fight the lies of the enemy.
PRAYER: I thank you for the privilege of having a Bible and actually several Bibles. They will do me no good if I just look at them. I choose to get the power inside by opening and reading it daily. Satan will attempt to get me making excuses but I refuse to listen to him. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Epicenter

'Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.'Isaiah 41:10
Recently in the city of Dallas Ebola struck. Widespread panic set in primarily caused by the news media. Guess what? I also was in Dallas this month and was not a bit worried about it. If you constantly feed your mind on fearful topics naturally you will start to be afraid. I started to read the free daily paper at my hotel then threw it away. All it was doing was inciting fear in article after article.

You may not be scared you will contract Ebola but there may be something else that you allow to consume your life. Fear paralyzes people. Don't allow yourself to fall victim to this. Fear can stop you in your tracks. News flash, fear is not from God. God offers peace. The enemy is the one who loves to scare us. In order to stay peaceful and unafraid feed your mind on good things and do not dwell on those issues that make you a nail biter.

Concerning being in Dallas, I was there in the epicenter of the Ebola concern in the US and I was there with the Moms in Prayer ministry for their 30th birthday celebration. Women from 44 countries flew in. No one was fearing dying of Ebola. This event was planned over two years ago and God knew that 1300 praying women would be here in the center of it all. Faith over fear wins every time.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I choose to separate myself from those things that incite fear in me. When I start to be afraid I will turn to you and your word not the newspaper. Help me have discipline to be peaceful. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Everyone Needs Discipline

A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom, but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.Proverbs 29:15
Recently I was at a concert in a church where a group of grade school age children were left on their own and were running around the front of the auditorium and sitting on the altar rails and no adult supervision was being rendered. Sitting on altar rails is not appropriate or respectful behavior nor is running around in front of people watching a concert. Whoever the adult in charge was, needed to set some guidelines and boundaries. If children do not learn to follow rules now they could indeed become unruly adults and could even end up in detention at school or in jail. Discipline is not a bad thing.

Discipline is an essential part of life for raising children to be obedient respectful adults. Just as the verse today says, a child with no rules indeed will bring his mom, and his dad, to shame. It is up to parents to teach a child with love and firmness if they want an adult who is a good member of society and a good future spouse. One thing to remember is to not automatically assume a criminal on the side of the road had bad parents because sometimes people get in with the wrong crowd. It is our place to pray and not judge.

Start today and give God thanks for the way you were raised. If you are a young parent make sure not to be afraid to be the one in charge. God wants us to be disciplined and to that discipline add the discipline of reading the Bible and praying daily.

PRAYER: I love you Lord. I thank you for disciplining me when I need it. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Just Pray

Jesus was telling them a parable about their need to pray continuously and not to be discouraged. Luke 18:1
What do the following things have in common? Crosses on road, angry drivers, wrecks on the highway, rude people in stores, the person with a sad look on their face. Each of these reminds us of times that prayer is needed.
The cross on the road indicates that a valuable loved person lost their life in a crash and hurting friends and family are no doubt left behind.  Those who pass us with road rage obviously need peace. When you come upon an accident on the highway, such as I did recently coming back from Kentucky, then the first reaction should be to pray. Often times shoppers can get pretty nasty to store clerks and maybe somethings going on with them that needs prayer. Those people we  see every day who seem to frown more than smile need a smile and prayers.
Instead of focusing all the time on ourselves why not look around for opportunities to pray for others. We may not know specifically what they need but God does. Just pray!

PRAYER: Create in me Lord a desire to love others more than myself. Give me compassion for those who are hurting. Open my eyes to the needs around me. In Jesus' name.Amen.

PASSWORD NOT NECESSARY

Seems today we need a password for just about everything. You can not do life as we know it without the magic word so to speak. This can be difficult when you have many to remember. How many readers have been locked out of an account because they could not remember their password?

I have great news. God does not require a password to talk to Him. You will not receive an error message. He is available around the clock for you to "chat with". Isn't that terrific news. No waiting, no computer viruses, no being locked out. He is there, period!

Psalm 4:1 says 'Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.' If you do not know how to "talk" to God perhaps just use that verse. Proverbs 15:29 says 'The LORD is far from the wicked: but he hears the prayer of the righteous.' Do you harbor sin in your heart? If so confess it today as it says in Psalm 66:18 'If I had cherished iniquity  in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.'

Cry out to Him today. Do not be scared to carry on a conversation with God. It is as someone as talking.

PRAYER: Thank you Lord that I can talk to you anytime. You are there.  I do not need to be a "church member", baptized, or say a special chant for you to hear my cry. I love you Lord. Thank you for hearing my prayer. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    PRAY, PRAY, AND PRAY ON!!

Today is the day of the Moms in Prayer group I lead.  I have been a part of this wonderful international ministry since 1996 when we lived in a suburb of Phoenix. Prayer is so vital and so important. At times when our prayers go unanswered we may tend to give up. In Luke 18:1(NIV) it says 'Then  Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.' Never means never. The great enemy of our souls, Satan, wants us to be quitters. He wants us to blame ourselves for problems. He wants us to get mad at God.

Keep hanging on to hope and the promises in God's word. Keep "walking by faith not by sight" as it says in 2 Corinthians 5:7. To stay positive and focused on the truth you need to daily read God's word. Get a daily dose of the best medicine around, scripture.

Run your race to win. Hebrews 12:2(KJV) says 'Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.' Don't give up.

PRAYER: I need to have your faith Lord to keep believing even when I do not see evidence. I know you are working behind the scenes and know the "big picture". Help me keep believing. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    GOD, WHEN?

What are you waiting for in life? You pray, you wait. Nothing seems to happen. You cry out "God just when will you get me out of this mess?" Sometimes in life God wants us to grow to be more like Him and that often requires patience while we wait. Maybe you feel you just can not hold on any longer. It could be a situation you are waiting for in your life or a breakthrough in the life of a loved one. Regardless how you feel God has not abandoned you.

James 5:7(NIV) is similar to the topic I wrote about yesterday. It says 'Be patient then brothers and sisters until the Lord's coming.See how the farmer waits for the land to yield it's valuable crop patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.'
Can you trust God has a plan and sit back and keep praying and relax? His timetable is not the same as ours.

Isaiah 55:8(KJV) says 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.' Keep going to God in pray and in the meantime do not forget to praise Him for who He is and thank Him for the answers to prayer as well.

PRAYER: Dear Lord I ask for you to help me as I wait on you and wait on answers to prayers. I know you are doing a perfect work and I need to trust you and not be afraid. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    BROKEN, SHATTERED, FRACTURED

Does my title describe how you feel at times? Do you ever feel there is no way out or some prayer is falling on deaf ears? First of all God is not deaf but his ways are not our ways it says in Isaiah 55:8-9.

Instead of brokeness why not shoot for the goal of wholeness, being mended, healed, set free, and forgiven.

Just recently I heard from a friend that a neighbor of hers had cancer and was blaming God. Why do people automatically blame God and get mad at Him? Why not be mad at the destroyer, liar, deceiver, thief known as Satan? It is so easy to think God can just wave a magic wand and all things will be happy. Trials and struggles believe it or not do make you stronger.

God can indeed use our brokenness to get us closer to Him. Remember that Jesus Christ suffered the ultimate form of brokenness on the cross when he was crucified. Isaiah 53:5(NKJV) says 'But He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.'

When you are going through trials of any kind it is hurtful and no fun. Seem times you just feel you can not go on and things are never going to change. Those thoughts come from the enemy who likes to destroy our good thought life and positive attitude. In 1 Peter 1:7(KJV) we are told 'That the trial of your faith being much more precious than that of gold that perishes, though be tried by fire, might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.' James 1:2-4(NIV) says 'Consider it pure joy my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its' work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.'

God is the great mender, healer, and deliverer. Cry out to Him today.he will see you through.

PRAYER: Thank you Lord that you will with me through the hard times of life. I realize that many of these trials are meant to conform me more to your image. Give me strength to hang on and not give up. In Jesus' name.Amen.

    BAD NEWS......BUT GOD!

There seemingly is a great deal of fear in many parts of the world today. I know here in these United States citizens are concerned about a government that is out of control and no longer listens to them and fears dictatorship on the horizon. "But we have a Constitution, that will never happen" the uninformed will utter. But this fear is real and is frightening many people. Our balance of power and system of checks and balances is no longer valid it seems.
There is a verse in God's word which I love. Psalm 118:11(NLT) says 'The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?' We know it is not people we are necessarily supposed to be angry with but realize we are in the midst of spiritual warfare. A battle of good versus evil. Satan is having a hey day. He is using people as his pawns to do his evil works and many deceived are falling right smack dab into the enemies trap.
There is so much deception today. People hear something and believe it is true. Only God's word is true, yet today it is being misused and twisted to justify sinful behavior. Hebrews 13:6 also reiterates the same thing as Psalm 118:6 by saying '......what can mere mortals do to me.'
We truly need to not fear and realize God is indeed still on the throne. He is King of kings and Lord of Lords. God has a plan behind all the chaos that is going on. Sometimes He let's humans have their own way and suffer a bit. We choose to not listen, to not acknowledge Him, not keep His word first, well then see what happens. Isaiah 55:8-9(KJV) says 'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.' God is still God and is still over the entire universe. No king, prince, czar, ruler, dictator, or president controls Him.
Psalm 93:4(NIV) says 'Mightier than the thunder of great waters and mightier than the breakers of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty.' Meditate on that verse for just a moment. There are things we need to do as well. 2 Chronicles 7:14 should be a very familiar scripture to those who have been praying for America to return to its' Christian roots. 'If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.' Are we truly doing this? Are we taking so much for granted and so busy with our daily lives that we even bother?
Hard times may in fact be on the horizon. Just remember who indeed is on the throne. Psalm 95:3(NIV) says 'The Lord is a great God a great King above all gods.' There are those who live in countries where Christians are persecuted and have to read their Bible in secret or risk death. We need to cry out to God and repent and ask Him to bring revival.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus thank you for being in control. I realize when we do not listen to you sometimes we suffer the consequences. Lord I ask that you open the eyes of the blind and end the curse that is overtaking the United States. Bring revival to this great land. Turn evil men and women's hearts to you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    PRAYED ALREADY? THEN TRUST GOD

How many reading this may say a prayer and supposedly "cast" your cares and concerns on God like it says to do in 1 Peter 5:7 but immediately start fretting and trying to take the controls again. Why is this? Why can't we "fully rely on God" or F.R.O.G? Why bother praying if you just then in the next breath start to panic? There are lots of "whys" there aren't there?

Do you believe God loves you? Do you believe He is in control? Don't you know He sees the big picture? Seemingly bad things many times have an ultimate good purpose, but you have to sit back, relax, be patient, and trust God.

One of my all time favorite Bible verses is Romans 8:28(NIV) which says 'And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.' So the question is do you love God? Really? Do you "talk" to Him daily in prayer and maybe sometimes several times a day? Do you love spending time with Him in order to get your day started off in a dynamic way? Do you try to please Him in what you say and do? Have you asked Him to be Lord of your life and asked Him into your heart?

You can have that perfect peace and you can know God. Joining a church does not mean that you "know" God and have a "ticket" to heaven. Matthew 7:21-23(NKJV) says '“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Why not say this simple prayer and ask Jesus into your heart today and then start an exciting daily journey of walking with Him? "Lord Jesus I need you. Forgive me of ignoring you and doing things my own way. Forgive me of my sins. I want you to come into my heart and live in me."  Romans 10:9-10 says 'that is you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart, you will be saved. With the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.'  Why not trust Him today?

PRAYER: I need you every hour of each day Lord. Many say you are a "crutch" well if so then you are the best "crutch" ever who I rely on daily to help me in all facets of life. I choose to live for you and I need you to stay on the right path of life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    NEVER STOP PRAYING

What is on your heart today? What prayer needs are you crying out to God for? Do not ever give up! There will be skeptics who tell you God does not care or if He does why does He let little children die and why doesn't he simply heal everything. That is something I can not really answer but I do know that God indeed cares and He is not the one who makes bad stuff happen.

Prayer is our lifeline to God. If it were not so powerful why then do anti God forces continually try to eradicate it from society? Unfortunately they were successful in not allowing school children to pray back in 1963 but that does not mean people are not praying.

Luke 18:1 is a favorite verse of mine and it simply says to 'Pray and never give up'.  As the famous slogan for Nike says "Just do it." Indeed we must 'keep doing it' and doing it some more. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says to 'pray without ceasing.' That means do not stop! Perhaps you are a parent in despair over a wayward child and keep praying and praying and praying some more. Do not worry my friend. God is indeed at work in their lives. Just keep believing.

Have you ever tried praying scripture over a situation? For some excellent helps on this check out www.momsinprayer.org. Moms in Prayer is a ministry I have been a part of for almost 18 years now. It is vital to my prayer life. Isaiah 55:11 says ' So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.' God's word is powerful. Cherish it. Read your Bible. Memorize some favorite verses. It is your weapon against the forces of darkness in our world. Satan shudders at the name of Jesus.

PRAYER: I love you Jesus. I hate evil. I know you hear my prayers. Help me to keep on keeping on and to remember to encourage others to continue in prayer as well. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    I'M WAITING

A few days ago two cute stray dogs showed up on my back porch. They were friendly and clung together like two little buddies. Out in the country where I live there are not "leash laws" like I was used to being a former urbanite city and town dweller. Anyway these two just hung around waiting to be loved on and ultimately fed. Being the soft hearted person that I am I gave them some cat food. One dog was a lab mix and the other a beagle mix. Both just laid side by side on the porch in anticipation. As they waited they drifted off into nap time.

Sort of reminded me of how Jesus is waiting for us each day to spend time with Him. He waits and does not pester. Like the dogs wagging their tails showing they were friendly Jesus too is sitting and waiting to be loved on by us His children. He waits, and waits some more and yet keeps waiting. We may throw him a "bone" to make him temporarily happy and to have Him settle down till we have time. He is not going anywhere. He waits, waits, and continues to be patient. He is not angry but is sad. Like a loyal pet, He wants attention and affection.

Are you too busy to be bothered? Is your "to do" list so crammed full of the duties of your daily activities that you forget to spend time with Jesus? He is not condemning you for ignoring Him but He sure wants His "children" to want to spend time in His presence and get to know Him. Just like a friend, there is no way to know them well unless you make an effort to go and do things together.

Why not make a daily appointment with the one who loves you more than anything? Each day make Him the most important thing on your list and see what happens. You'll probably end up with more time.

Hebrews 3:15(NIV) says 'As has just been said, "Today if you hear His voice harden not your heart as you did in the rebellion."'
Do you desire to spend time with the Lord? If not ask yourself why not? If you do not know where to begin just talk to Him. Sit down without the television blaring or radio playing and just talk to Him. Perhaps read a chapter in Psalms and just begin your day with Him as your first appointment. What do you think?

PRAYER: Father I am delighted to spend time in your presence. Forgive me because there are times I get distracted and let other things squeeze you out. I know you are sad and Satan is glad. I choose to out you daily on my high priority list. In Jesus' name. Amen.

    WHAT IS YOUR PASSWORD?

This world we live in today is a world of passwords for almost anything over the phone or online. Recently I ended up being "hacked" and lost the passwords I had created for Facebook and email. To anyone this has happened to it is not only frustrating but is scary as well wondering if someone has your private information.

I have good news! God does not require a password for us to communicate with Him. He is only a prayer away. We do not need a special status in life,a pass code,a secret knock,a certain amount of money, a special key,or a password to gain access to the throne of grace.

Matthew 11:8(NIV) says 'Come to me all you who are weak and burdened and I will give you rest.'  You might have to get yourself away from things distracting you or keeping you from prayer  and a good quiet time. This time alone with God is a time you should take daily to refresh yourself and get some of God's word in your heart.

Jeremiah 33:3(NIV) says 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' God is your Father in heaven. He wants to hear from you. Don't wait til you are in a crisis situation but "talk" to Him daily.

Start by praising Him for who he is. Then confess your sins to Him. Next thank Him for answers to prayer and finally intercede for yourself and others. He is not judging you or condemning you. He wants all people to come to know Him as Lord and savior. No matter what you have done he is ready to forgive and set you free. So go on and pray to Him today.

PRAYER: I am so glad you are an around the clock God. I don't have to call tech support if I lose my connection as I am always connected. I choose to start talking to you more Lord. You are knocking on my hearts door so I need to answer. In Jesus' name. Amen.
