Password Required Again.....Geez!

But now, this is what the LORD says-- he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. Isaiah 43:1

Oh my goodness, the last couple weeks have been a roller coaster ride trying to not let the fact that Google disabled my account for two days to include my Christian writing blog. They said I had violated their user policy. I am not real clear exactly what they mean. Consequently I was threatened with never getting access to my writing I had done for six years ever again. Here I am wondering what I did that my free speech was violated.

Anyway when talking to God we are never ever shut out. He loves us. He does not like His people mistreated. The day this event occurred I had just had a quiet time on casting all my care on the Lord. Wow, now here was my test. Was this order by Google trying to tell me I could not talk about Jesus anymore or say a certain word or was it something else? Anyway I am grateful to live in a nation where supposedly we do have First Amendment rights.

Even though yours truly, the devotion writer,  is a bit perplexed and kind of being extra careful to not get shut down again,  I am grateful for the United States of America and the ability, I think, to share God's word with others.

PRAYER: I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ or of telling the truth. Our world is mixed up Lord and good is called evil and now in some cases maybe we can not even talk about the evil. You are in control Lord. To you be the glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Password Incorrect

'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not Jeremiah 33:3

Computers were meant to make us have a simpler life but at times they can be very frustrating. Take for instance when you are trying to log on and get error message that your password is incorrect. Either you forgot it or you were hacked. Seeing this message when you are trying to get work done is very frustrating and a big time waster.

Aren't you glad you don't need a password, special handshake or membership card to have access to God? He is there for you by simply calling on Him. You do not get  the message "Access Denied" because He is an around the clock God ready and waiting to hear from you. Don't just wait until you have a major problem but 'talk' to Him each day.

Our enemy is Satan and he will try to get you busy and distracted with everything else till you have little time for spiritual growth or being alone with God. Give Him your frustrations of life such as lost passwords, missing keys, grief, confusion and let Him heal your wounded spirit. Talk to Him in prayer each and every day. No log in required.

PRAYER: I know you are waiting each day for me to talk to you in prayer. Many days I get up and am more concerned with my Facebook than 'your book' and for that I ask forgiveness. Give me a desire for more of you and less of the world. In Jesus' name. Amen.

WHAT IS YOUR PASSWORD?

This world we live in today is a world of passwords for almost anything over the phone or online. Recently I ended up being "hacked" and lost the passwords I had created for Facebook and email. To anyone this has happened to it is not only frustrating but is scary as well wondering if someone has your private information.

I have good news! God does not require a password for us to communicate with Him. He is only a prayer away. We do not need a special status in life,a pass code,a secret knock,a certain amount of money, a special key,or a password to gain access to the throne of grace.

Matthew 11:8(NIV) says 'Come to me all you who are weak and burdened and I will give you rest.'  You might have to get yourself away from things distracting you or keeping you from prayer  and a good quiet time. This time alone with God is a time you should take daily to refresh yourself and get some of God's word in your heart.

Jeremiah 33:3(NIV) says 'Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.' God is your Father in heaven. He wants to hear from you. Don't wait til you are in a crisis situation but "talk" to Him daily.

Start by praising Him for who he is. Then confess your sins to Him. Next thank Him for answers to prayer and finally intercede for yourself and others. He is not judging you or condemning you. He wants all people to come to know Him as Lord and savior. No matter what you have done he is ready to forgive and set you free. So go on and pray to Him today.

PRAYER: I am so glad you are an around the clock God. I don't have to call tech support if I lose my connection as I am always connected. I choose to start talking to you more Lord. You are knocking on my hearts door so I need to answer. In Jesus' name. Amen.
