I was watching The Gospel Truth with Andrew Womack yesterday on Daystar TV and there was a cool song I had never heard before with a good comparison to man's best friend dog and man's real best friend God. Wow it blew me away. It made perfect sense. No matter how we treat our dog whether we shun it, kick it around, neglect it in backyard or do not play with it the dog is faithful and loves us and is there for us no matter what. Same with God our heavenly father. We may ignore him, put him 'on the shelf', get angry at him, blame him, do not spend time with him daily but he is still faithful and is there waiting on us and holds no grudges.
We are the one who walks away. We are the ones who blame God when someone dies too early. We are the ones who blame God when we lose a job. God loves you no matter what and he does not cause disasters and deaths. He has a perfect plan if we could only trust him.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Psalm 136:1 says to "Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, His love endures forever." -- "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God." (Psalm 20:7)
PRAYER: Lord forgive us for when we do not trust you and when we have been mad because of something that happened that we blamed you for. You are all merciful and all knowing. I want to sing your praises. In Jesus Name, Amen!
