Bite Your Tongue

Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. Proverbs 21:23 NLT Bible Gateway

Sometimes you just have to bite your tongue and resist making comments, phone calls and so forth knowing what you are about to say will probably not be understood and bring division. 

There are so many times I wish I would have not said certain things because I was impatient and not allowing God to work or the person heard me wrong and was offended and cut me off as a friend. 

James chapter 3 in the New Testament has much to say about the tongue. Read it and meditate on it. I must be still, wait, pray, and ask if what I am going to say will benefit anyone or just make me feel better. 

PRAYER: Lord thanks so much for the ability and gift of speaking. It truly is a miracle that little tongue but I need help controlling it. Give me strength. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
