He who guards his mouth protects his life, but the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin. Proverbs 13:3
If an acquaintance has shared something personal with you that could be misinterpreted it is not your right to repeat it without permission. Has this happened to you?
It may be something you thought was okay to share with some close friends but unless the individual asked you to have trusted friends pray it is best left alone. You may have innocently shared but unless this person announced it to the ‘world’ on their social media let it go before you destroy a relationship.
If this has happened to you and you are in midst of having trust restored continue to give it to God in prayer and learn to wait and think about stuff you say or text? Be still, wait, and pray.
PRAYER:Father I give you praise for friends and family in my life and help me to respect others need for privacy. Give me strength to guard my mouth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
