And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Colossians 3:23Today is Labor Day in the United States a day traditionally known as the end of summer. It was established to honor and recognize the American labor movement and the works and contributions of laborers to the development and achievements of the United States.
Working is important. It took hard work to found this country and establish freedom and takes hard work today to maintain that. 1 Timothy 5:8 speaks of if a man won’t work neither will he eat. Man was not meant to lay around and let the government feed him.
Today if you are employed give thanks. If you need a job pray for doors to be opened for gainful employment. Thank the Lord for the many hard working talented individuals who helped this nation become what it is in the past 246 years. To God be the glory.
PRAYER: Thank you Lord for freedom. Thank you for those gifted who discovered electricity, invented the telephone, made the printing press, invented cars and planes and trains, farmed our land. Everything is a miracle from you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
