Are you becoming conformed to this world or are you walking in step with the Lord daily? You can say things like you don’t need to read your Bible to be a Christian and while that may be somewhat true why wouldn’t you want to strengthen your mind against the attacks from the enemy.
Becoming complacent about your faith is a dangerous place to be and if not careful you could easily be sucked in to what you just got out of. Temptations are the devil’s specialty. Satan is not going to present himself and his deception as a horrible evil person but instead is subtle as the Bible refers to him as an ‘angel of light’.
It is the Holy Spirit that draws people to Him and convicts of sin. No amount of nagging or making suggestions will change a heart. Prayer and more prayer mixed with love and patience. Just keep praying.
PRAYER: I am thankful for the Holy Spirit which brings people to draw closer to god and to conviction of sin. Praying for anyone today who needs to draw closer to you and throw off any sins holding them back. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
