Spirit Of Division

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Mark 1:17

Even within the body of Christ there can be a spirit of division. Examples would be bickering over type of service and causing a church to split. Bad mouthing a Christian film to others. You can probably think of other examples.

These past two years have been super divisive first with election then on top of that Coronavirus, isolation, vaccines  and masks. Satan is having a jolly good time watching families feud and friends hurt your feelings. 

Now is the time to recognize this as the spiritual warfare it is and for sure doesn’t produce any fruit for the kingdom of God. Do your part to be at peace and share the love and joy of Jesus and trust Him. 

PRAYER: Father help me seek to bring together and not tear apart and use me to help others that may have fractured relationships. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Strive For WWJD In Your Life

 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one. Romans 3:10

Ok I have to admit it there have been a couple times when I questioned if Jesus would be doing what I was doing such as watching a particular movie or TV show or gazing at the tabloid headlines at the supermarket check out.

Temptations can get a hold of you and some are minor but many can lead you into marginal activities to say the least or compromise. You have to be convicted by the Holy Spirit of your activities and not be pointing the finger at others. No one is perfect. 

Scripture says Be Holy as I am Holy but where do we say “just a little bit of this or that is ok” and march forward. I must caution you the lure of this world will try to get you off track. The simple WWJD acronym is an easy way to stay on track. 

PRAYER: Thanks Lord for the Holy Spirit that brings conviction of right and wrong keeping me going in the right direction. Guard my heart from being pulled any other way. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Unconditional Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV Biblegateway

Today is Valentine’s Day or national Hallmark card day or single awareness day. Love it or hate it, celebrate it or not today is the day so let’s talk about love. 

Unconditional, redeeming,not easily hurt, puts others needs first, not self centered. The movie Redeeming Love, still in theaters demonstrates this unconditional love.

This unconditional love does not have to encompass just the romantic sense but is meant for the kind of love shown to everyone. Read the book of Hosea in the Old Testament for more on this love Hosea showed to a promiscuous woman God led him to marry. Love is not self centered and it seeks to see how it can please the other person. How is your love meter?

PRAYER: Lord I know you love me even when I ignore you or treat you like a stranger. Help me father to always seek you and your kingdom first. I choose to not harbor bitterness for anyone who has hurt me and instead to show love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Dark Or Light?

 “If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth” 1 John 1:6 NASB

When you think of dark what comes to mind? Evil satanic Halloween movies. The porn industry. Sex trafficking of children. 

What about light?Pure, perfect, whole, redeemed, set free, a gorgeous God produced sunrise, and much more. If you are a follower of the most high God daily you are faced with choices to lean to and ‘get saturated in darkness or to start your day with a daily time with God spilling your mind with Warfare weapons meaning scripture. 

Today what do you choose? Your choice makes a difference in how you fight the battles Satan throws at you subtly each day. 

PRAYER:Fill me Lord to overflowing till I can hold no more. Keep me from dwelling on the things of this world such as social media and to instead dwell on you and your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Don’t Be A Fool

 

A fool has no delight in understanding But in expressing his own heart. Proverbs 18:2

Oh my goodness have you ever had a day where you acted like a fool thinking only of yourself and your feelings? I have and am ashamed of it and thankful for God’s conviction through the Word. 

Fools are paving the wrong path for their feet to travel on because they rush ahead and don’t take things into consideration. Do you ever feel like a fool? 

Think of others before yourselves. Don’t let things be all about you and your feelings. Be willing to ‘die to self’ and truly want others to benefit and be content. 

PRAYER: Lord forgive me when I have been self centered and foolish even if I felt justified. I don’t want to be a fool who constantly only what is good for me. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Anything Is Possible!

 

For with God nothing shall be impossible.Luke 1:37

 

Do you believe that with God anything is possible? I do. Your faith has to be strong and unwavering. No doubting whatsoever. 

I have heard and seen miracles people thought in the natural were impossible. God is still a God of miracles and second chances. Believing without losing hope. Babies born when the doctor said it couldn’t happen. Miracle healings occur that even doctors can’t explain. Missile blown out to sea that were aimed at Israel. Angels appear in human form and render aid. Deliverance from a homosexual lifestyle.

 

Is God ever present in your life? Do you live by the spirit or walk in the flesh? Stop and give God time before doing anything else. 

PRAYER: Father I love you and acknowledge you are King of kings and Lord of lords and I give you the praise and glory for all your works. In Jesus’ name.Amen.

For those of you living in the US we should be eternally grateful for the time God chose us to be born and the place. It is no accident. When watching a new Western recently the things pioneers went through to settle the west were absolutely terrifying at times. Then those brave Europeans who wanted freedom and risked their lives crossing the Atlantic ocean. We have it pretty easy and don't take it for granted. 

When you start to feel all comfortable and unchallenged living in a peaceful time, look out. There are always those possessed by demonic spirits confusing people and trying to take freedom away. This country was founded as a Christian nation and if demon spirits can send confusing messages then it would be easy for America to fall. 

Be thankful each and every day and do not take your Bible for granted. How many own one, yet  it remains closed and dusty? My friend ,that is where the power is to defeat the lies of Satan. You are indeed here for such a time as this. In what way should you serve God's kingdom?

PRAYER:Thanks Lord for first giving me life on this wonderful Planet Earth. I am thankful for having a Bible and forgive me when I have taken it for granted. Help me in a loving way try to encourage others to read and study it for this time we are in. In Jesus' name. Amen.
