When You Don't Know What Else To Do

 

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. Matthew 5:44-45

Love is what cures most problems. meaning if you could simply learn to blow off bad junk and don’t start quarrels it would be much better. 

Let’s say someone doesn’t like you so do you not like them back or you can pray for them. The answer I am looking for is to pray for them. Sometimes hurting people hurt people. 

Prayer is simply having a conversation with our Heavenly Father nothing fancy required. You don’t need formal speech simply talk to Him as your daddy, Abba, Father. Trying to love your enemies may be a tall order for some but it pays huge dividends. 

PRAYER: Hello God it’s me again. Help me today to be at peace with those around me and use me to be a blessing to someone unexpected. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

All You Can Do Is Pray

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

What kind of situations are you facing in your life? Estrangement from family members, supposed terminal illness, bankruptcy, foreclosure, loss of job, add to the list.

 

All of us have been there in some fire problem and feel at the end of our rope and hopeless. Good news is there is always hope. 

You have to purpose in your heart to don’t entertain negative thinking or speaking. Say things like “I have favor” or “my child will return from the enemies camp” or “I will live and be healed” you get the idea. Constantly thinking the worst will not help your mental health. If you know a friend or family member struggling encourage them as best you can. God is a miracle working God so don’t throw up your arms and cry but keep believing and confessing the best.

PRAYER: Holy are you Lord. Thank you for hearing me when I pray. Thank you for making a way in the wilderness. I choose to pray and not stop. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Growing Cold?

 

Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy,Jude 24

Have you lost your zeal for the Lord or never had it in first place? Maybe you have a child or relative who is walking away from their faith for whatever reason. 

The lure of this world is created by Satan and this would be things such as  the desire for fame, looking in style, wealth, fitting in, church and prayer are no longer  on your radar, you compromise your beliefs for a person that you may be dating, and you get sucked into the lies of the enemy which is controlling much of this world. 

All is not lost. Keep praying and believing for a turn around because God does still answer prayers in big ways.

PRAYER: Lord open my eyes to the truth and help those I know who are blinded and straying to be kept from harm and wake them up. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Be Content

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, 'Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you."Hebrews 13:5

Recently I was reading a friends' update on their life after work which some call retirement. In this friends' writing they were 'wintering' in a delightful place seemingly enjoying life without snow. It seemed delightful. 

Now for one I happen to like snow but warm climates are awesome as well. Many people are not blessed to be able to afford two dwellings to hop back and forth to. I am happy for my friends. My point is that when you get on facebook or other social media you are mainly posting the highlight reel from your life. I have tried to not go to Facebook very much and sometimes post but don't read others things unless they pop up. 

Start looking for blessings in your own life instead of desiring someone else's jet set life. Stay off social media as a matter of fact fast from it if possible. Be thankful for all God has done for you and rejoice. 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for taking care of my basic needs each and every day I thank you Lord for blessing me. In Jesus" name. Amen.

Do you think we are getting close to the end of times? Prophecy seems to be lining up. 

Deception is rampant and many may scoff at the idea of God coming back and judging mankind but it will happen. If you are living according to the word of God and following Him you have nothing to concern yourself about. Do you love Jesus and live for Him more than the world,  that is the question to ask yourself. 

If you are reading this today that is an indication you want more of Jesus and God’s word. Ask yourself what gets your focus more, Jesus or this carnal world and it’s empty pleasures that lead nowhere. My friend my prayer is that you will run hard after God. 

PRAYER: Lord there have been times in my life I listened to the world more than you and I know people close to me doing that now. Help those I know and love hear your voice and turn away from anything wicked in their lives. In Jesus’ 

name.Amen. 

Just Breathe

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand.

Psalm 95:6–7

What are you anxious and fretting about?Many times it could even be something you don’t need to be troubled about. If you could emulate what David says in the Psalm above wouldn’t it be a better start to your day? 

Come, kneel, worship, that’s it.Pretty straight forward and to the point. 

Did you know the Bible says “ He inhabits the praises of His people” or in other words desires our praises. Wouldn’t life be easier if the instruction manual were just followed? 

PRAYER: I sing your praises Lord and I make a fool of myself when I don’t follow the Bible. Help me to resist the enemies attempts to make me follow the culture instead of you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Be Careful Little Mouth

 

Whoever controls his mouth protects his own life. Whoever has a big mouth comes to ruin (Proverbs 13:3 GWT).

Oh to control the words that you say wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were no problems in that area. Words are what cause conflicts, misunderstandings, hurt feelings, broken relationships, and much more.

To be able to instead utilize your mouth for the glory of God and do things like praise, thanksgivings, compliments,kindnesses. The tongue is a deadly weapon it says in James 3. Read the entire chapter.

Why not start this month by insuring that only good things are said and if you instead feel like arguing, complaining, or bickering then be silent. Think before you overreact. Let’s give it a try.

PRAYER: This is the day you have made and I don’t want to be hurting anyone I know with cruel or misunderstood words. Give me strength to use my tongue for good not evil. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
