My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

When you are angry you say stupid things you regret later. You could hurt someone physically as well. You overreact and dig deeper holes that you will have to go back and recover from. Anger causes unnecessary fighting and even divorces and worse.
Your anger can stem from not having God firmly on the throne of your life and believing lies the enemy tosses at you. You have to build your life on the truth of Jesus found only in scripture.
God doesn’t want you hating people to include politicians but wants you to pray for your enemies it says in Matthew 5:44. As we approach Election Day in November pray for those people you would rather curse at and ask God to change your heart towards people you have bad thoughts about.
PRAYER: Lord I want to be used by you to bring others to Christ but that won’t happen if I harbor hatred and anger in my heart. Purge anything in me that is not of you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
