Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.Colossians 2:7How is your root system? By this I mean are you fortified in that when the ‘storms’ of life hit, and they will, that you are able to withstand and grow in the process?A tree or plant needs nutrients, water, good soil and fertilizer to stand strong and produce fruit and likewise you as a believer need to stay strengthened in your inner man so you don’t cave in and blow away when a trial comes your way.I don’t know what you are dealing with now but there is always something. Your biggest battle may be in your mind.You need to make time daily to fertilize your soul by prayer and hiding God’s word in your heart. Don’t allow the enemy to knock you over. Stand firm.PRAYER: Lord you are the strength of my light and I take comfort in your words and truth. I am ready when strong trials come with your help. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
