God’s Headlines

Much anxiety can be caused by news headlines especially in our modern day when First Amendment rights are being violated and ignored by those who do the news. Solution. Go to God’s news and lower your blood pressure.

Why does a follower of God need to immerse themselves in so much worldliness anyway? Will it improve your day? Hardly. Mostly out of habit from the good ole days to men and women wake up and flip on the news or grab the paper. Now in this era knowing the propensity of hate towards Christians and conservatives why do you even want to read it? 

I love the two papers my devotion happens to be in as they are local, newsy, and fun but the big corporate news giants are anything but. Study news from God’s word and get that armor put in for protection from attacks by satanic forces. Don’t let headlines drag you down but say “Jesus is my headline!”

PRAYER: Lord once again I thank you for another day of life. I want to be disciplined enough and hungry enough spiritually that your word is what comes first in my day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Help The Broken-hearted....That Could Be All Of Us!!

“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted … to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.” Isaiah 61:1b, 3a (NIV)

This verse was given to me by the Holy Spirit the day I started volunteer counseling at Choose Life/Save A Life in Huntsville, Alabama several years ago. I was having a quiet time of sorts in a nearby coffee shop praying about my encounters with clients and my Bible 'fell open' to this verse. It was not the first time this has happened. 

Do you know God has a purpose and plan for your life and knows ahead of time how you will impact the world around you. This verse is tremendous and contains much power and promise. The word is where you  get help for any situation you are dealing with now or in the future. 

Are you sent to help bind up the heart of broken hearted people who come across your path? You never know what a kind word or act may do to impact a hurting person. Not every broken person looks broken but God knows the pain they are in. You can minister to others and help them deal with their pain. You are God's tool of sorts. Who can you impact today? Look around and keep smiling even if you hurt as well. 

PRAYER: I am grateful I live in a place I can share Christ with others without fear of persecution, death, or jail time. Many may try to change this but you Lord help keep us lifted up above our enemies to share your good news to those who are in pain. In Jesus' name. Amen. 

Wickedness Overtakes The Spiritually Blinded

 

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction. Psalm 1:6

America, America God shed His grace on Thee. America once again is in a battle of wickedness trying to invade and tear down the American spirit. Patriots are pressing in trying to preserve our freedoms given to us by God and desperately praying for God to help us not be turned into a Communist country. This is serious. 

I love my country and served in the Armed Forces for 6 years and have a super hard time watching people, some I love dearly, being fooled and lied to by nothing other than demonic forces. You and I can keep praying and don’t fall into hating others just because they ridicule or hate you or have differing opinions but Satan hates this country as it has always stood for religious freedom and freedom of speech and thought, but when people try to trample on those freedoms it is time for the godly to stand up and speak up and above all pray. 

Revival is needed! Hopefully  you are praying for that and as a believer and follower of Christ do you always seek truth found in scripture and speak it in love? Pray for your enemies. Seriously do this. Many of those who try to turn us into something the Founding Fathers would not recognize, do not have a true personal relationship with the Lord. Keep praying for eyes to be opened and hearts to be changed. 

PRAYER: Jesus so many people are wandering lost believing lies of the enemy many taught hatred for America right in this country by people trying to destroy it. Father I ask you come into the hearts of those people doing evil for the sake of evil. Bring repentance and restoration. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What Is The Condition Of Your Heart?

For out of the heart come evil thoughts--murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.Matthew 15:19

It is a pivotal moment for The United States. Are you ready for what God has in store? How is your heart? Is it loving,caring, forgiving, sharing, peaceful, gracious, kind, and generous? 

In my humble opinion revival is on the doorstep, and I can’t wait. You are living at this time in history for such a time as this. There is no accident what each of our timelines are. 

No need to worry, fret, take money out of the bank, hide in a cave, or move to a deserted island but great things are in store! God wants your heart to be pure and set apart for him and He wants this country to go back to its’ Christian roots. All is not lost brother and sister. Many have been sucked into deception by Satan and God is reaching out to heal their hearts if they allow him too. Now is the time for repentance as well. Get your heart right before the Lord then be ready. 

PRAYER: Jesus you are a good and mighty and even when things look bleak and impossible you are the God of hope and restoration. Father I pray for those who truly have been caught up in deception, anger, fighting, unfriending, and ugliness to turn to you and search their hearts. You don’t wish any to perish. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Take Heed My Friends

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Are you watching and praying for what God is going to do in America the country that has wandered so far from what it’s founders purpose was? Don’t wring your hands as God is not done yet.

If we are expecting  God we stand ready but He isn’t going to come and perform a miracle or a deliverance when you expect it so be still, set your heart on Him, stop wasting time and brain cells on conspiracy theories. 

No doubt these are challenging times. Many rumors are swirling and you just have to get a grip and stand your ground for the kingdom and don’t cave to despair, hopelessness, fear  as that is exactly what Satan wants. I don’t think I have prayed so much in my entire life. Be sure to pray for those you may know of have wandered into the enemies territory and have set up camp to be set free. This is a battle and God does win! 

PRAYER: I have wasted much precious time reading theories or developing my own when I should have gone straight to the word. Lord I want to know you better and be used in your kingdom. Calm my heart and strengthen me and others with renewed hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Have Faith In God

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22

Many have been down in the dumps lately. Do you feel like giving up and throwing in the towel? This is God’s nation and God will not let it fail because the US was founded because people loved God. Think about Daniel in the Lion’s den, do you think he thought he was going to be delivered. God showed up. God has not forsaken us either. 

God is working, we have no control other than trusting God and staying vigilant in prayer. God will handle the unjust, the evil, the cheaters, the liars. Don’t you believe God is going to do this in His time and His glory. Revival is imminent so stay alert and yearn for that awakening. Don’t let fear and unbelief enter in my friend. Stay on your knees. 

Many have lost site of the true God and the true gospel and have fallen asleep with deceptive spirits that compromise the word of God. Many in the USA are like sheep without a shepherd. They have believed the lies of the enemy. Many have allowed a denomination or family devotion to a political ideology to guide them. Now is the time to wake up and expect God to do a big thing. He is coming on the clouds! 

PRAYER: I am grateful to be used by God in some small way to share truth, and help others have peace. I am thankful that evil and corruption will be exposed when it is the right time. His ways are not ours so Lord open my eyes to be ready for the miracles you will bring. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reaping And Sowing

 

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.Galatians 6:7-8

Take a deep breath Christian brother and sister. Many concerns may be swirling in your head and freaking you out a bit but I have good news. God is on the throne. 

Turn off the TV, put down the paper, get off social media, and let Jesus truly give you peace. How is that done? Praise music and reading the Bible. You have to be intentional about what you sow into your life or you may reap something far from anything peaceful and spirit filled. 

It is time to pray,  not cry, my husband reminded me of that after a deluge of bad news for believers after the recent president started writing executive orders to rescind things of faith and morality. Hope is found in Jesus Christ not in political maneuvering and fear. God is still at work and hears the cries of His followers. 

PRAYERS: Father help me to love people who may not agree with me and to remember to keep praying and not quit. Certain things in life are confusing and the enemy is the author of confusion. Keep my mind and heart clear and help me as I fight this battle of good versus evil. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
