Fruit Of The Womb Is His Reward

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD.” Psalm 127:3

In this generation and culture of abortion disguising itself as ‘reproductive rights’ my heart goes out to precious infants who never had a chance. Or to those mothers who carried a child but lost it before birth. I can’t imagine the heartache. 

Children are a true gift from God no matter how they were conceived. Men out there don’t take fatherhood lightly. The father plays a key role in raising a healthy child to adulthood yet single homes without a dad abound. 

Children are knit together in their mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16). Children are innocent and pure yet a movement is out there to sexualize them and abuse them. If you are a parent you are blessed. Never take parenthood for granted. Many want children and are unable to conceive so don’t throw God’s babies in the trash. 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for the blessing and innocence of children. I thank you for the joy they add to life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Some People Don't Understand God's Love For Them

 

 "The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."Zephaniah 3:17

Do you feel loved by family, friends, and others? Some people have a hard time accepting love or feeling God’s love because of abuse or neglect in their childhood. 

God loves you with an everlasting love and is sad when you can’t fathom that because of past hurts perhaps at the hand of an earthly father which may have included his absence. Even a mother who abandons her children can scar them for life. 

I don’t know your particular story but trust me when I say God loves you. And if you are blessed with children you know how much you love your children well God loves them more. So rest and know the all encompassing love of God. 

PRAYER: I pray earthly Fathers are teaching their children about God’s love. Even when others don’t care for me you do. That is calm assurance. Thanks. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

I Am Not In Control And Neither Are You

 

No man has authority to restrain the wind with the wind, or authority over the day of death; and there is no discharge in the time of war, and evil will not deliver those who practice it. Ecclesiastes 8:8

Are you a control freak? Do you like to be in charge of what happens to you? You wish you could but it is impossible. 

Mankind always seems to want to control his or her own destiny and what happens each day.  What is necessary is to learn to relax, pray, trust God, repeat. 

When things don’t happen your way or on your timetable just remember to surrender it all to the Lord. Not even the highest official in the land has control. Ultimately God is the keeper of your schedule. 

PRAYER:I trust you with my life Lord and even the outcome of things going on in the world. I choose to be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Stop Having Headline Hysteria

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.Matthew 6:34

Are you more focused on the days’ breaking news and headlines than you are trusting God to give you peace? You can’t expect to grow in Christ if you are constantly bombarding your thoughts with the hysteria which is the main stream news. Why do you need to know anyway and how will your life be better,  ask yourself that. 

We are to be in the world but not of the world. Someone told me once I was too ‘spiritual’ and needing to get back to the real world. Our job as followers of Christ is to lead others to Christ and come along side all people and help them. I heard somewhere once that you preach and if necessary use words. Ponder that. 

How can you make your day better? I suggest start with morning devotions from the You Version Bible Ap. Don’t run to turn on the TV unless you plan to maybe watch Daystar or Trinity Broadcasting. Stay off social media. Give it a try. I imagine after doing this a few days you will be refreshed and have a new habit started. 

PRAYER: Lord thank you for my mind and my brain and the ability to think and reason. Give me wisdom on what type of things I let into my mind. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Pray For Those Who Mistreat You

 

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,Luke 6:28

Have you ever had others mistreat you, gossip about you, snub you? It is very unkind and hurtful particularly when a friend is the one doing it. 

Years ago the Ten Commandments were posted in schools and government buildings. When you see the Ten Commandments you are morally convicted, or should be, to stay under God’s protective umbrella of sorts. The devil will taunt you saying “Did Gods really say” just like in times of Adam and Eve when serpent beguiled Eve. If people followed the Ten Commandments perhaps the hurt and meanness would subside. 

Perhaps if the Ten Commandments were memorized and honored today our world would not be in such a mess. Many people can’t even name two of them. Read Exodus 20:3-17 and you will see these Commandments. Try to commit them to memory and purpose to keep them. 

PRAYER: Lord I choose to be kind and to forgive anyone who has wronged me knowingly or unknowingly. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Great Concern

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6

Are there things in your life that if you rehearse scenarios in your mind long enough fear just takes over? What about faith, trust, prayer and believing God hears your prayers. 

Prayer walking is a good thing to do basically walking a perimeter around a mayor’s office, school, business, organization, and so forth. Not drawing attention to yourself but simply strolling with a purpose praying for specific things concerning where you are walking. 

What burdens are you carrying today? Talk to God as He hears you. Remember to be salt and light in a dark world. 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you for the ability to get out and pray and make a difference. My heart gets overwhelmed at times so keep me still and help me trust you. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

You Are Able Lord

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Mark 11:24

Whatever it is that you have prayed about believing God is a big big God and more than able to take care of you. He hears your cries. 

Some people may think when you ask Jesus to be Lord of your life that problems and trials cease. They actually might pick up a bit to help form you into the vessel God wants to use for His kingdom purposes. Say what? 

Anyway friend God is more than able each and every day. Some can’t wrap their minds around that. Don’t try, just trust Him.
