Jesus Is The Way

 

There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life it says in John 14:6. To stay on the right path and avoid pitfalls of Satan and evil follow the right way leading to Jesus. 

There is a progression of evil that if a believer doesn’t stay in the word and in prayer and listens to voices of the world he or she can easily slide into a pattern of mocking God which is a dangerous place to be. 

Run hard after God. Satan has all sorts of hooks out trying to trip up believers because non believers he already has. Do you know deep down you need to be back in right standing with God and want to but there seems to be something blocking you? Right now throw off any weights and sins dragging you away from a right relationship with Jesus. Cry out to Him he is ready to welcome you with open arms. Time to tell Satan to take a hike. 

PRAYER: My heart breaks for those that Satan has lied to and who now have no passion to follow God. Father my prayer is for these individuals to recognize evil and run far and fast from it before they are gobbled up. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Yes You Can! Charge On!

To anyone who was ever told no, keep going it only takes one yes to change your life -AGT (Americas Got Talent) contestant

 

This is such a true statement. Even my own husband was told by a teacher or counselor he wouldn’t make it and he made it to Full Colonel in the United States Army. Your future is in God’s hands. 

This story is not to glorify his success but to tell anyone out there who was not affirmed as a child and made to feel special you can do great things if you make your mind up. Don’t listen to nay sayers. God made you special and you are not junk just remember that. 

Don’t let negative people hold you back. Make up your mind to do good and to run your race to win and you will be successful. Yes you can! 

PRAYER: Lord I love you and thank you for giving me hope, joy, peace and so much more. When my heart hurts thank you for being my comforter. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

You Matter To God

 

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.Psalm 139:14

Do you ever feel like how on Earth could I matter to God. You may put yourself down and feel like you can’t possibly make a difference in the world but you can. 

Satan lies  making you feel that you can’t possibly have anything to share to help anyone but you DO! Start today telling yourself that God does love you. 

You are good, special, loved, needed, important and are here on Earth to share joy with others. Seize the day! 

PRAYER: Help me Lord to not put myself down. I know I matter to you and to others. I choose to run with my eyes on Jesus and not this world. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Focus On The Positive

 

A joyful heart is good medicine,
But a broken spirit dries up the bones.Proverbs 17:22


Who would you rather hang out with Debbie Downer or someone happy, prayerful, and positive? It does not take much effort to have a negative attitude about things. I choose to believe in positivity how about you? 

Try to believe the best about things and people and don’t take your rant to social media or they simply fuels the fire of discontent.

Go on prayer walks around areas you hope to see change. Keep believing. Don’t engage in debates with negative people trying to prove a point but stay peaceful. Talk to God instead. 

PRAYER: Father give me the ability to be sunshine in the storms of life. Help me to help raise spirits that are down and to pray for those who can’t seem to be happy about anything. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Breaking News!

 

For God is not a God of disorder but of peace—as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people.1Corinthians 14:33

When you are on your computer or phone and a message pops up do you stop what you are doing and click over to see what it is all about? Sometimes this rabbit trail leads to a pornographic site or ads or a goofy story, but many times it is just nonsense to distract you.

If you are trying to have time with the Lord you need to stay focused and ignore distractions that try to lure you away. Satan loves to get God’s children distracted. Sometimes he pulls them so far away they slip and fall and end up following him not God.

Satan is a liar, thief, deceiver and nothing good is found in him. He is the one behind all the destruction, division, chaos, false truths, and many things that may be yanking your loved ones away. He uses words like equity, diversity, Christian nationalist, inclusion, tolerance, and instigates conflict wherever he is. Sadly many fine individuals are trapped in his lies but the story is far from over and brother and sister don’t despair and keep praying.

PRAYER: Lord guard and protect the hearts and minds especially of small children and teens who can easily be led astray. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ignore The Pop Ups

 

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.1 John 2:15-17

Recently I was having a great morning. Called a long time friend to sing Happy Birthday on her big 7-0 which is the new 49 by the way. Next I listened to a message by Pastor Jentzen Franklin and read some scripture but in between all this my mind got distracted by pop ups that drew me away from what I was doing. 

Satan is like that. You are on point doing your thing and having prayer with the Almighty then poof, a pop up distracts you and you click on it only to be led to a ‘must see’ story on a celebrity you like because your computer knows from your search history who you search for. Anyway before you know it you are off on a rabbit trail with no purpose.  

How do you get yourself in a daily habit of staying on task and keeping your mind on Christ? It takes discipline. You must decide how important looking at everyone’s daily Facebook status really is and then charge on for Jesus. Enjoy your life and try to put Jesus first. This is not a denomination thing, a church thing, and so forth but is a habit you can ask the Holy Spirit to instill in you. Go for it! 

PRAYER: Today and every day I need you in my life Lord. I wake up and get depressed or sad and start wrong thinking I cry out to you and ask for help. I also ask you to forgive those who have hurt me past, present, and future. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Who Do You Follow?

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”Matthew 4:19

I have several friends who are not on social media and I say more power to them. I am glad I was born when I was without the clamoring of having to be known by everyone and have zillions of likes on social media. It is tiresome. 

Not trying to guilt anyone but what do you find yourself doing first thing in the morning? Is it checking Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram or do you stop and take a breath and take time to check in with the Most High God. He wants you to follow Him. 

Why do celebrities matter? I imagine there are some of them that would like to be anonymous and not have everyone going crazy over them. I think social media is like a giant People magazine but seriously why do any of us need to know? Take time to rest, take a breath, download the You Version Bible App and take inventory. Even with the so called ‘good’ emails from things start deleting and unsubscribing. Give yourself freedom to relax. Now go talk to Jesus and have a great rest of your day! 

PRAYER: Father I love you and thank you for loving me and waiting for me to talk to you many days when the tyranny of the urgent seems to push you out. Forgive me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
