I Was A Mess-But God….

 

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
    I will be exalted among the nations,
    I will be exalted in the earth.”Psalm 46:10

Have you had days where you are so hyper focused on the wrong things or negative outcomes you simply can’t be still. It is hard to regroup and Satan wants you to be in a tizzy. 

Keep breathing, keep praying, keep trusting. Acknowledge that you don’t have the magic formula or all the answers. 

Focus on love, period. No judgment, no condescending thoughts in your head. If that starts up repent and ask God to deliver you from stinking thinking. Now go have a good day. 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you for helping me not freak out and be at peace. I thank you for helping me trust you and let go of lies of social media. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

D Day-80 Years Ago

"Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom" (2 Corinthians 3:17)

This is a very special country you live in. Right now it is divided by political opinions and arguments on social and news media. There are so many freedoms unique to the United States thanks to the men and women who defended this great nation in many battles particularly World War 2 whose heroes are called the Greatest Generation. 

This is not a political post but a post for all reading to think about what this day means. Many younger people have no concept of all the sacrifices made to secure freedom and we are only one generation away from the loss of freedom, said President Ronald Reagan.

No One Is Beyond Redemption

 

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

No matter what you have done God can forgive you and redeem you. Murder,  prostitution, adultery,  hatred of family, theft, bribery, lying,porn addiction,  abortion, dishonoring your parents or elders in general, rape, child sex trafficking, cheating and  so the list goes on. 

Some sins have worst consequences but they are still sin. So many are smug thumbing their noses at God and mocking Him yet He still loves them and died for ALL. 

Today there is much darkness and deception in our world. Some can’t tell truth from misinformation and the enemy is having a hey day trying to destroy marriages,  family, and children. The truth is in the Word of God. Read it and be on your knees in prayer. 

PRAYER: Father I thank you that you love me so much you forgive me for when I have strayed from the design and purpose you have for me. Help me father to recognize strongholds and run from them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Talk To God-Let Him Have Your Broken Heart

 

 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.Psalm 55:22

I am not certain what kind of worries you have now. Unexpected death in family. Family member who is shutting you out. Heartbreak over a child’s death to drugs or alcohol. Loss of a job. 

Four years ago when the pandemic swept the world things went crazy. Arguments ensued on who was right and wrong. People were laid off, my own son was  furloughed in his job as Airline Pilot. We were isolated and a person can only take so much of this before the crack emotionally. Online counseling thrived. My husband and I moved 2100 miles during this time thus causing heartbreak to a son who was only 6 hours from us. It was very heart wrenching. Decisions were hard. 

God wants you to talk to Him. He wants love and kindness in your heart and He does not want you to try to figure things out on your own. Trust Him, talk to Him. Forgive people who hurt you. Try to show kindness in this mixed up world. Don’t run to social media run to your Bible and hear from Him. 

PRAYER: Sometimes it is easy to offend people without even trying. I pray for any offended people to let go of bitterness, hate, anger and get their heart healed. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

It Is Not My Job To Change Others But To Love Unconditionally

 

“The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love”. Psalm 103:8

I am not a perfect person, no one is. As a writer I seek to convey God hugs and hope but sometimes things get misinterpreted. I might go off on a tangent not meaning to judge another and it comes across that way. 

Everyone is dealing with something. God wants us to love one another, period, not try to play Holy Spirit Junior and make some people into projects. 

What is your struggle today? Where is your heart breaking? What stronghold might be affecting your life? Jesus loves you this I know for the Bible tells me so. 

PRAYER: I ask forgiveness Lord if I ever hurt another with spoken or written words. I ask for wisdom in my day to day communication with others. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

How Is Your Mental Diet?

 

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.Romans 12:2

Probably many of you at one time were extra careful about what kind of food you ate be it for selfish reasons like bathing suit season, or health reasons,  or you wanted to wear smaller clothes. 

Have you ever considered your mental health like the things you think or allow in your mind?Vegging out on a screen of any kind is not ideal. The books or magazines you read. Movies you go see not discerning the rating and content. Even with your children or grandchildren be advised Hollywood likes to indoctrinate so be careful. 

Satan likes to play mind games with believers and no believers alike deceiving them or getting them to fixate on something that only causes fretting.Purpose in your heart you will make certain you are on a good mental diet. Don’t tiptoe into Satan’s territory. 

PRAYER: Lord God I struggle especially with controlling wrong thinking. Help me to get a steady mental diet of scripture to combat the devil’s tricks. Help those in my family seek to dwell on things above. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Hope Keeps You Going

 

And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.Romans 5:5

It is hope that keeps you going keeping the monsters at bay.  I heard this statement on an App called Lectio 365 on 30 May. It really is true. You always have hope even in the most dire of circumstances. 

I wear a tape measure bracelet which is based on Ephesians 3:20 that God can do immeasurably more than we ask or think. It is from my friend Kathe’s ministry called Hopelifters. When someone asks me about my bracelet I tell them then give them one to wear. It is a joy to me to spread hope. 

Do you feel hopeless my friend? God cares for you and nothing is too hard for God’s love to penetrate and miracles do still happen. 

PRAYER: Help any reading this who have lost hope to turn to you. And help those struggling today to be at peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
