Clean Slate 2015




Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. Isaiah 43:18

 Many younger readers may say "what is a slate"? A slate was what was used in cowboy days, like is depicted in 'Little House on the Prairie' TV series, in school to write on, before chalkboards and dry erase boards. When I was in grade school I loved having the task at end of class of beating the erasers to clean them out. Baby boomers will know exactly what I mean. When you use chalk, you erased the board with a felt eraser and at end of day the residue of chalk had to be removed. You did this by beating them on perhaps the outside wall of the school. Okay do not go pull my covered wagon up curbside as I am not a relic.

The beginning of a new year is an opportunity to start all over. The perfect break in things to sort of say, "things will be different this year." For this reason many make resolutions  or set goals of what they hope to achieve in the 12 months ahead of them. The days are all fresh and new things are in store.  For this reason you often hear people say "I am beginning with a clean slate" or in other words the future has not been written yet and there is a chance to begin anew and 'right' the  wrongs and forget and forgive.

New years are indeed exciting. This beginning could probably begin anytime during the year but it seems the start of a new year is always ideal for getting started. Is there something you want to start, in this year?Now is the time to not hold onto the past and charge on for what adventures lie ahead. You have a brand new clean slate.

PRAYER: I get excited about the prospect of having this time of year to really set new goals. Help me Lord to let go of things that have been anchors dragging me down and to embrace the future and what it holds. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Never Underestimate The Power of Tomorrow


Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Proverbs 4:25(NIV)

Has there ever been a  time in your life when you just simply were overwhelmed? I know there have been many times for me. A project is due and you may feel there is just no way you can have it done. Often times in college I felt that way especially if I had waited until the very last moment to do a paper. This  feeling can overcome housewives, Fortune 500 executives, students, ministers, and everyone in between. Our enemy,satan, likes to take advantage of moments like this when we allow circumstances or others opinions to get us fixated on defeat or failure. We must not allow him to get our thoughts captivated on the past or things that are in the future.

A simple message on a church sign gave me today's title. It makes a lot of sense. Tomorrow there is always a new start. Old stuff has passed away and we are to leave it alone. Continuing to worry and allowing pressure to come in on us robs us of trusting in Jesus to see us through.

PRAYER: Today let me concentrate on today. I know with your help I can do all things as it says that in your word. In Jesus' name. Amen.

SPARKLE FOR JESUS




Is 2014 the year you will do things differently? Maybe you have found yourself in some sort of rut. Your joy has been lost. A major pity party is being thrown with only you in attendance. You feel like giving up on something or quitting a project you know is important. 

This is where I found myself on 29 December 2013 in church in Madison, Alabama. I was having a major pity party. When you allow your mind to not be focused on God the enemy can really come in and try to defeat you. Wouldn't he love to defeat a devotion writer or a prayer group leader? It happens, but we can not let it happen. I looked down at the cushioned chair in front of me and there was a single sparkle. This "sparkle",  combined with a great message which spoke to my heart, snapped me right out of whatever it was I was going through. I was so grateful. I just raised my hands to Jesus and said "thank you"! 

Have you found yourself defeated or in some sort of slump? The enemy loves to take advantage of us when our thoughts are not focused on Jesus. When we are not saturated in God's word and allow "stinking thinking" as Bible teacher Joyce Meyer calls it, to get into our thinking then we an disable the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives. 

If you get like this just get the Bible and start reading Psalms and praising God. Before you know it you will be on track with God again and out of your pit. 

Jeremiah 29:11(NIV) reminds us 'For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' Why not trust God today? 

PRAYER:Lord I thank you for your word which keeps me from being in a slump. I thank you for the answer to prayers and the promises in your word. Forgive me for allowing the enemy to get me unmotivated. In Jesus' name. Amen.

A NEW YEAR...A CLEAN SLATE!



Arizona friend Bettie Birch wrote a few days ago about a clean slate in the New Year. For those younger readers you may have no clue what a slate even is or a chalkboard. Every thing today is probably dry erase boards. Oh the days of beating erasers on the side of the school to get the chalk residue out. Todays' youth are missing an experience. 

On a slate or chalkboard, if you make a mistake you simply erase it and start over. Just like an Etch A Sketch, when done with your creation, you simply shake the screen to reveal a clean board with no squiggly marks.  A fresh start!

Every year at midnight on New Year's Eve we are given a new chance, or a "clean slate" to do things differently. This is a chance to roll back errors in your life and see what to do differently to change what needs to be changed. I love it when calendar switches over because it is a fresh beginning. 

Isaiah 43:19(KJV) says ' Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.' Another chance. A time to look forward and not back. What will you do differently in 2014? 

PRAYER: Today is part of a new week. I know aI need to change certain things in my life. Perhaps a bad attitude. A complaining spirit. A heart without love for others. Lord Jesus  show me what I need to change. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REACH HIGHER

Do you begin the new year by reaching for new goals in your life? Called resolutions, as you resolve to do things differently. Turning the page on the calendar into a brand new year is a perfect time to start something new and make up your mind that this year will be different. You will "reach higher" towards God for help to achieve success in an area you want to see change in.
Many people refuse to make these resolutions as they say "I will just break them". Perhaps if God is in the mix of things it may be easier to achieve the goal. Do not give up, and refuse to back down. Just keep plugging away. Do not talk yourself out of a worthy goal. Take for instance, treating others with kindness and respect. This can be achieved if you allow God to control your thoughts and words. To do this you need to get into God's word to be transformed.
Whatever it is you need to do, pray and ask God to help you. In 2014 make Him a vital part of your life. Do more than church. With God's help you can in fact learn to "reach higher".
Philippians 4:13(NIV) 'I can do all this through him who gives me strength.'
PRAYER: This year Lord I want to do things differently. I do not want to just keep saying it but want to be different and act different. I know with you I have strength to do this.Guide my steps and thoughts to bring glory to you. In Jesus name. Amen.

HIP HIP HOORAY!


 I do not know about you, but I love the New Year. It is a chance to start all over. New Year's helps us turn the clock on bad things and make up our mind that now is the time to let things go and start new good habits. Similar to how I feel in spring when plants and flowers are budding is the same way I feel in early January. It is a time on the calendar when fresh things can "bloom" in our lives.

I say "hip, hip, hooray" to 2014! Forget what things bothered you and "purpose" in your heart to do something new. Phillipians 3:13(NIV) says 'Brothers and sisters I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it, but one thing I do, Forgetting what is behind and straining forward to what is ahead.'

Are you able to forgive someone who has hurt you? Are you able to stop holding grudges? Can you let bitterness go? What a fantastic opportunity we have been given simply by a new year rolling around to get off to a right start. Change attitudes if necessary and commit to putting God first in 2014!

PRAYER: You have given me another day and another year to do things differently. Help me not look to the past but to look ahead. Guide me Lord to where you would have me be. In Jesus' name. Amen.

STARTING OVER



Happy New Year! A chance to start new things and make resolutions. A time of new beginnings often brings hope for things you wanted to accomplish but did not. At the end of the old year and ringing in the New Year it is nice to have that chance to say "this is what I plan to do" and why not add "with God's help". 

Have you added any spiritual things to your resolution list? Often a big one might be read through the entire Bible. If that is your goal make sure you pray and ask God to reveal himself to you as you read and do not do it to simply check a block. As you go along make it into a study. Perhaps ask God to fill you with a desire and hunger for the things of the Lord. 

Another spiritual goal could be something like go on a mission trip if you have never done that. It does not have to be overseas but can be right in your own back yard so to speak.  

Do you find yourself complaining or judging others wrongly or being unkind to people? Then a super resolution is to ask God to give you His love for all people. 

The most popular resolution is usually dieting. If this is yours and has been over and over and over again why not put God in the equation and ask Him to make you see your body as His Holy temple and to treat it properly. Pray for discipline and self control and the ability to make this area a true priority this time. 

A good verse to memorize this year is Philippians 4:13( NIV) 'can do all this through him who gives me strength.'

PRAYER: I thank you Lord that through you I have the power to do all things. I do not have to let the enemy drag me down and cause me to give up. Guide me as I seek to be faithful to the resolutions I have made. In Jesus' name. Amen.

RECALCULATING! RECALCULATING!


There probably aren't too many of us out there who have not seen the
commercial for a well known insurance company with the character known
as "Mayhem" where in one episode he mimics a GPS device saying
'Recalculating, recalculating.' How many of us in life have to stop
and recalculate things? Changes occur which maybe were unexpected and
we have to "recalculate" our course in life.

In doing these "recalculations" do you include praying about what
steps to take? Philippians 4:6-7(NIV) says 'Do not be anxious about
anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus.'

That is the ultimate goal to have the "peace of God" in your
decisions. You may have to "recalculate" things along your road of
life, but turn to God in prayer and He will direct you.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I need you in my every day decision making. Forgive
me if I have been stubborn and tried to leave you out of making
decisions in my life. I seek your peace in my life. I choose to be
guided by your truth in all things. In Jesus' name. Amen.

SPRING IS NOT TOO FAR OFF



What do you think of when you think of spring? Perhaps flowers,sunshine, new life as baby chicks hatch, Easter, March Madness NCAA basketball, and putting away winter clothes. Do not be too hasty on that last one as snow is in abundance still in many parts of the country. I for one am blessed to be enjoying the beautiful Northeast snow at a ski resort in Maine. In spring normally we  look forward to all things new such as the sight of a daffodil popping through the ground or in the nations Capitol, the infamous cherry  blossom trees.

Many times in March we are surprised with a sudden winter storm evenin places that do not expect it. Things that a new are nice. The freshness of green grass and blooms and a garden. Even a fresh new snow is very nice.

Spring could be a time to re order your life once again if you failed
at the task after the New Years resolutions were forgotten.

Being new means to also have a new attitude, new outlook, new
plan to get closer to God. Is spending time with God and getting to
know Him really important to you? If it is then why aren't you making
it happen? Sunday is nice but you need more to grow and be Christlike. Usually where you spend your time is the person you become.

What kind of person do you want to be? Do you want to be able to be peaceful and have joy in your heart? You can if you take time to get into the word of God. Why not start anew and let Christ rule your day?

2 Timothy 2:15(NIV) says 'Do your best to present yourself as one approved,a workmen who need not be ashamed, and who correctly handles the word of truth.'  One final verse I would like to leave you with is 2 Corinthians 5:17(NIV) and it says 'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away,behold all things become new.' Are you a new creature in Christ? If not why not ask Him into your heart today?

PRAYER: Lord You are good and your mercies endure forever. I want to be able to have you truly first place. I want to be prepared when hard times come and I know I can not do it without knowing you and reading your word. Forgive me for listening to the world too much and not you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

BEGIN ANEW


Two weeks have nearly passed and hopefully all of you reading this
have started writing "2013" and not "2012" on things requiring a date.
A new year, a new date, and new adventures. What are you doing in this
brand new year to start anew?

A new endeavor, a hobby, or a goal in mind? Something to reach for or
finish? Procrastinators are happy for the first few weeks of the new
year each time it rolls around but not so thrilled when December 31st
approaches and they are still stuck in the same rut of not
accomplishing what was intended.

What is it you have set for your goals in 2013? Do any of them have
spiritual significance? Some ideas would be showing kindness to
strangers. Perhaps helping a family in need. Maybe writing to your
mom if she is still living and does not do email. Showing Jesus' love
in your job or wherever life has you at the moment. Being kind and
respectful to those closest to us. Sharing what God has blessed you
with if you see a need you can help meet. Reading the Bible daily and
starting a journal. Changing churches if you just go out of habit.
Praying with fervor and not just a "lay me downtown sleep" prayer. Not
gossiping or complaining or in other words, mouth control. Why not set
some goals for how you can be closer to the Lord in 2013. After all
you have a brand new year to shine for Him.

Move on and aim high. Aim high for Jesus!

Philippians 4:13 (NIV) is a good verse to commit to memory and it says
'I can do all things through Him that gives me strength.'

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the gift of a new fresh start and a brand
new year. It is a chance to forget the past and make things right. I
look forward to spending time in your word daily Lord. The enemy has
no power over me in Jesus' mighty name. Help my light shine bright for
you in 2013! In Jesus' name. Amen.

A CLEAN SLATE IN 2013


Here we are eleven days into the New Year. Resolutions have been made
and broken. Decorations are down or coming down soon. Thank you notes
are being written. Bills are being paid. Diets have been started. Life
is getting back to the normal mode in most cases.

A new year is a good time to start things over and make things right.
A "clean slate" so to speak. For those too young to know what a
"slate" is basically it is a chalkboard or today would be a dry erase
board. You wipe it clean and start all over. Nothing is on the slate
or board and off you go to a new year and new adventures. Pretty
exciting and encouraging to get to begin again. Take stock of your
life and what has to be done and purpose in your heart, with God's
help, that you can do whatever it is you set your mind to.

Forget the errors of the past and charge on into the future with new
hopes and new dreams. If you have messed up it is time to make things
right. A new year can be wonderful, a turning point of sorts.

So what do you need to "wipe clean" in 2013? Pray and seek God and ask
Him for direction for what He would have you to do. Perhaps it is time
to right a wrong that has occurred. Maybe you really need to spend
more time in the word of God to get to know Him better. Maybe you need
to learn to love more. Perhaps it is not talking so much. Don't dwell
on past failures. Whatever it is, spend some time in prayer and ask
God to show you what He has for you in 2013.

Isaiah 40:31(NKJV) says 'But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew
their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall
run and not be weary and they shall walk and not faint.'

PRAYER: I am excited to get a chance to start over in 2013 or build on
things I had not finished in 2012. With your help Lord I can reach my
goals. Help me Lord to relax and trust in you. In Jesus' name.Amen

WORLDLINESS OR GODLINESS



Do you have one foot in the world and it's passing pleasures and lusts
and the other foot into "church things"? Is your mind filled with
desires other than Jesus? Do you feel more excited about the things in
this world than you do having a relationship with Jesus?

First off as a reminder, we are only on the earth a very short amount
of time. What are you doing with that time to spread God's love and
impact the world and leave a legacy even when you are long gone?

Do you find "religious" things boring? Maybe it is time for a "heart
check up" to see how your love meter for Jesus is. When you accept
Christ into your heart you are to serve Him where He has you. When you
go out to eat and decide to pray do you sort of "hold your head" like
you are not really praying so you will not be embarrassed? I heard
someone once call this the "headache prayer". In Mark 8:38 it tells us
to 'not be ashamed of Him'. Think about that and ask yourself if you
have ever been ashamed of Jesus. Then look up and read that entire
verse. What if your children turned their back on you acting like you
embarrassed them? Well imagine how Jesus must feel if you say you live
for Him then act ashamed.
1 Timothy 6:6(NIV) says 'Godliness with contentment is great gain.'
Does it make you happy to serve the Lord and read your Bible? Are you
drawn into worldly activities more than Godly activities? For
instance, if the Bible and People magazine were side by side in a
doctors office waiting area which would you tend to grab for first? Is
your "ashamed meter" going off? I am not saying People magazine is bad
but what does it do for you? You learn all about what is happening in
Hollywood but why does that even matter? You get the point. I
challenge you to use your doctors' office time by picking up the
Gideon's Bible, which is usually in most waiting areas, and read
Psalms or Proverbs while you wait for your appointment.

We are in the last days, just look around you. This is not to say
Jesus is coming back tomorrow but if He did what would you be doing
with your time? Nothing wrong with going to movies and such just do
not let the "world" consume and shape your life.

Romans 12:2(NIV) reminds us 'Do not conform anymore to the pattern of
this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what God's will is- His good,
perfect, and pleasing will.'

A new year is upon us and yet another opportunity to make sure Christ
is truly first and the world second.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I love you. I confess at times I have let the world
influence me. I know I am to be different and set apart and shine for
you. Forgive me if I have ever acted embarrassed. Thank you for loving
me and forgiving me. In Jesus' name. Amen.

BURY THE PAST








Do you have a habit of thinking or worrying about the past? The past can not nor should not be resurrected. It is gone. We move on in life and learn from mistakes. If you confessed your sin then why not let it go and keep it buried? God forgets and forgives mess ups and sins so why can't we? It is because Satan is the "accuser of the brethren" ( see Revelation12:10) and tries to put guilt on you. Guilt is not from God. If you confessed it then as The Bible says 'go and sin no more.' ( see John 8:11).

Isaiah 43:18(NIV) tells us 'remember not the former things', so are you able to let the past with all of its' mistakes go and look ahead and know God has redeemed you and set you free? You can learn from your past but you need not dwell on it. Just like in the "love chapter" 1 Corinthians 13 in verse 5 it says 'love does not keep a record of wrongs'. That is great news! Remember it is only Satan who condemns you. If you have those feelings tell Satan to get behind you in Jesus' name.

Psalm 103:12(NIV) says 'As far as the East is from the West so far has He removed our transgressions from us'.

PRAYER: Thank you for forgiving my sins. My desire is to focus on day to day things and let things in the past be "lessons learned". I know I do not need to keep asking you to forgive me because you have. Thank you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS....NO NOT ONE!




NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS..NO NOT ONE

How many of us have been guilty of judging others or pointing the finger at sinners when we in fact are sinners ourselves?  Do you beat up on "God's sheep" trying to come back to the fold? Do you classify sin as which one is despicable and the absolute worst?

There are churches out there that have a habit of "shooting their wounded". Just what gives us the right to classify sin? Some of those people who were the greatest in the Bible have had rough shady pasts. God can and does redeem. God can and does set free. God can and does
love you regardless of what you have done. God can and does heal the brokenhearted. God can and does set the sinner free.

In Isaiah 64:6(NIV) it says 'all of us become as one who is unclean. And all our righteous acts are like filthy rags. We all shrivel up like a leaf. And like the winds, our sins sweep us away.'  Just remember we all have messed up so do not get so high and mighty deciding which sin is better or worse than the other.  Let God be the judge. Romans 3:23( NIV) says 'All have sinned and fallen short of Gods' glory.'

As you begin a fresh new year here on the 4th day of January 2013 make it a point to stop judging others and and feeling that what you have done is not as bad as what someone else has done. It is your job to try to lead a righteous life. So go now and seek His face in 2013.

PRAYER: Father if I have every tried to act like a judge please forgive me. Forgive my self righteousness. Lord Jesus I want to be your servant and have a pure heart. Help me as I walk daily with you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!



A new year means a new start. What are your plans? Do you look forward
for the opportunity to try new things? Maybe you are fearful of the
future ahead? Usually a new year means a time for new hopes and new
dreams and second chances.

There have been times in past years I have attended what is called a
"New Years' Eve Watch Night" service which basically is a prayer and
praise fest to usher in another year. It is an opportunity to start it
off right by thanking God and keeping Him first.

When many think of the New Year they think of parades, parties,
football games and the start of school again. Why not make it a point
to purpose in your heart to make this New Year a great one no matter
what is transpiring around you? Stay hopeful. Stay encouraged. Stay
in the word of God.

When you are deciding what you will do different or making your list
of resolutions why not make spending time alone with God daily your
number one priority? Resolutions are made nearly every year to get
physically fit and lose weight. Why not get spiritually fit and lose
the weight of the enemy that is dragging you down the wrong road. You
can not expect to be a powerful Christian if you do not study and read
His word. So start 2013 by truly making Him after priority on your
resolution list.

'Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness for they
shall be filled.' Matthew 5:6(NIV).

PRAYER: I am thankful for the start of a New Year which gives me a
chance to start over on things I have messed up on. Lord I truly want
you to be FIRST in 2013. When I start to let worries and fears
overwhelm me help me to remember to run to you for strength. In Jesus'
name. Amen.

IT'S 2012. TIME TO PUT THE PAST BEHIND YOU.

Time to move on and move forward. The 2nd day of 2012 is here. Has your list of resolutions been firmed up yet? Time to stop rehashing old problems and make up your mind to look forward and not backward. Looking back does not benefit anyone.This is a great opportunity to start fresh and new and get rid of 'weights' that were pressing down on you and keeping you from being all God wants you to be. You can not cling to the past and try to mull things over and over. You just have to let go and let God and what better time than a brand new year to get a brand new start! So as Nike says "Just Do It! "  What is in your way? Start now thinking on good things and positive things and allowing God to have control of your thoughts.

Philippians 4:8 is one of my favorite verses and it is good to commit to memory. It says " Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things."

If things did not go so well in 2012 in whatever area of your life give that over to God right now and commit yourself to daily getting up and praying and to keep praying. When you feel yourself going into a slump or pit cry out to God, "I need you Lord!" God is only a shout out away. Jeremiah 33:3 often called God's phone number says "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." God is there waiting for you to cry out to Him.

Look forward to 2012 with great anticipation for the new things God will do in your life. Give him your heart today if you have not already. Start looking forward and not dreading things in your life. God can restore the years to you the enemy has taken away.

PRAYER:Thank you Lord for a brand new year with new hopes and new dreams. Thank  you for what you will do in my life this year. Thank you for loving me even when I have acted not so kind and loving. I purpose in my heart in 2012 to let you be Lord of my life and keep my focus ahead and not behind. In Jesus Name. Amen.

NEW YEAR MEANS NEW BEGINNINGS

Welcome to 2012. Where did the past year go? Now, tomorrow after the parades and football games are over,  which help to usher in the New Year here in America, we get ready for new challenges. Time to sit down and make those resolutions. Or perhaps just a list of things you would like to try to achieve in the coming year is better and less threatening than a resolution. I make a goal list as I call it. What do you hope to achieve this year? Do you have a dream you want fulfilled? Mine  personally is to get busy on a manuscript of God's Lemonade Stand and to stop putting it off. The New Year is an excellent time to start anew, so to speak. You can learn from your mistakes or shortcomings and charge on into a brand new year with brand new ideas. You sit back and regroup and think what you want to do differently or what new thing you want to try. Scuba diving, skydiving, college class, new hobby, new skill, marathon, deep sea fishing trip? You get the idea. It is fun to have this time once a year to rethink things.

Why not start 2012 out on the right foot by pursuing God full force if you have not already? Is God a hobby or is loving Jesus a lifestyle? This new year is a time for a spiritual renewal. Each time the new year rolls around one of the most popular resolutions is to lose weight and get in shape. For many the exercise equipment or gym membership goes unused because it sounded good but there was no serious commitment to it. Maybe it is time for a spiritual workout and to be truly committed to following Jesus.

Purpose in your heart to make this the year you get closer to God. Does that mean getting up a little earlier to have devotions or read the Bible? Perhaps so. Or maybe it means changing what you do when home meaning turn off the television and open the Bible. Maybe you need to stop reading movie star magazines and read the Bible? The enemy will get you distracted and make you feel reading the Bible is boring. Find a church where God's word is alive and you feel excited about wanting to go each week. Maybe this means changing churches. Just cause your momma and her momma and her momma before that went to a certain church does not mean it is the right one for you. Go where you can grow in Christ and get excited about loving Jesus.

Isaiah 43:19 says "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland". Many of us do need a new outlook on life and a new 'thing' when it comes to getting closer to the Lord. Staying busy in church activities does not mean you know and love the Lord. Ask yourself today where your heart is and if you have ever truly asked Jesus to be Lord of your life. If you have not, why not stop right now and ask Him into your heart. Maybe this is the year to decide to get into that Bible study or find a church to attend.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" Jesus wants to be Lord of your life .Why not start off 2012 with the sincere resolution to make not just physical fitness your goal but spiritual fitness as well?

Revelation 3:20 says "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me."

PRAYER: Lord I want to be closer to you and reorganize my life so I am not always putting you last in my day or not at all. Forgive me for that. I know Satan is a major stumbling block and will keep me from reading the word. Forgive me. I purpose in 2012 to put you first place in my life. In Jesus Name. Amen.
