Yeah For Freedom

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. Psalm 33:12

This is not a happy anniversary day for many. Unless you were born before 2001 you should know this is the devastating date that terrorists took down the World Trade Center, crashed into the Pentagon, and a 4th failed attempt on the Capitol crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. Similar to the attacks on Pearl Harbor no one saw this coming. Many think we are on the verge of another similar terrorist attack.

Evil forces do not like freedom. The United States has been a bastion of freedom since its' founding 237 years ago. There will always be those who try to weasel in and corrupt this land and tear it apart. Former president Abraham Lincoln said "America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." In other words the enemy could be right within our own borders trying to destroy us.

We indeed have a right to speak up for freedom. "Evil triumphs when good men do nothing" was another famous quote from Sir Edmund Burke. How very true that is. Christians have a right to do what they can to preserve not only religious freedom but all freedoms. Now is the time to be in prayer more than ever for us to remain 'one nation under God'!

PRAYER: Lord we thank you for our freedom and for those men and women who served our country and paid the ultimate price with their life. Help us stand up for our freedom and speak out against tyranny. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Strongholds Can Be Broken

The LORD is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.Psalm 9:9-10

We are living in perilous times. Here where I am in the United States of America we become very complacent to dangers around us. We refuse to believe anything bad could ever happen. All because of devotion to a political party, many refuse to believe there could be bad elements within our own government who do not like freedom and want to take us down. Evil is ever present. The enemy operates in very subtle ways to destroy what was once a great Christian nation.

Strongholds can be broken by the power of Jesus name, prayer, fasting, and refusing to give  the enemy any more ground. Our freedom is from the Almighty. Our blessings are from the Almighty. Apart from God we fail. Evil, sinister, tricky forces are definitely at work scheming to destroy this great land. Recently one of the largest prayer tools(Presidential Prayer Team) on the Internet was hacked by someone who obviously does not want prayer for this land.

Stop what you are doing today and thank God for this great nation. Pray for those who would lie and trick people into believing things that aren't true. Stand up for the truth and realize everyone has a part in keeping this nation truly free.Take the blinders off and get on your knees and pray.  As we approach the anniversary of both the  horrific terror attacks on September 11, 2001 and just a couple years ago on that same day the attacks on our Embassy in Benghazi just remember there is good and there is evil. Be on your guard and on your knees.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus I indeed thank you for my freedom. Many people do not enjoy what we have in America. Evil forces are trying to chip away little by little so we do not notice that we are being controlled more. Help your people get on their knees and pray. Protect us Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REVIVAL COULD HAVE HAPPENED

12 years ago on this day in the United States the worst attack on our
soil occurred when a terrorism attack took down the World Trade Center and put a gaping hole in the side of the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Thousands of lives were lost that day. For months afterward it seemed like the goodness of our populace came out. People were nice. Good deeds were done. Many returned to church. But slowly the American flags came down off car windows and homes and life returned to the same day to day things. Patriotism no longer was in style. Terror was in the forefront of the news. New rules were in place at airports and federal buildings. Life did not really return to normal.

What we needed to do then is get serious about how this nation is falling further from her Christian roots. A country can not succeed when it starts removing God and when it's moral compass sort of goes tilt. When man tries to be more powerful than God look out. Remember the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11:1-9. Take a moment and read it. These people sort of got "too big for their britches" so to speak. We are not God and we are not to act like it.

Deuteronomy 8:18 reminds us '
But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.'  When people become arrogant and haughty look out as God may humble you.

Today we need revival. We need prayer. We need salvation. We need to repent or turn from our sins and confess them to God. Let me end with a familiar verse to some which is 2 Chronicles 7:14 which says 'if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.'

PRAYER: Lord God we need healing and we need a change in heart in our land. Too many are going their own way without any regard to you. We cry out to you Lord for people to repent and follow you. Forgive us for our arrogance. In Jesus' name. Amen.
