He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!" Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:39Have you ever felt like your head was going to explode what with the world around us being so tech oriented? Then there is social media and need I even have to address that. You can have a much more relaxed peaceful life without the constant bombardment of 24-7 news and information. And when you ‘stalk’ Facebook what good does it bring you? Each person has to be honest with themselves and set boundaries.Honestly ask yourself how much time do you spend reading others opinions in newspaper, watching TV, or glued to Facebook or other outlets. Why is it even necessary? Try an information break. Go for a walk, without your phone, unless you are waiting for Wheel of Fortune call back like I was recently. LOL. Watching people in waiting rooms and airports makes my neck hurt as everyone seems to be looking down at the almighty screen.Today purpose in your heart that you will let go of others opinions on stuff. Realize Jesus is Lord and God controls the universe. If you are tempted to ‘go low’ on your social media may I suggest to take the high road which exalts Jesus so much more and causes less stress and anger. Let God handle the little battles and trust Him.PRAYER: Lord I want my information overload to be of you or in other words getting filled to overflowing with your word and the Holy Spirit. I will let you handle others and help e respond with grace to those who are ugly then let it go. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Power Out...No Problem
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3Yesterday I had just completed picking up my last item at the Defense Commissary on Redstone Arsenal when the lights went out and everything else electric as well. It was a very busy day and huge lines had formed. Thankfully I only had non perishable dry goods in my small cart. The reactions of many looked perturbed. Why? It is no ones fault. Better to go with the flow.No matter if it is a power outage, tailgater, hateful clerk, disrespectful spouse, irritated friend or family member, to keep the peace and maintain joy it is best to just let it go and blow it off. Spouting off only fuels the fire.I would not have always been able to do that but you get better the more you practice it. Once again getting mad gives glory to the enemy and not to God. Be cool is a good rule to follow.PRAYER: Forgive me Lord when I have opened my mouth and said things I was sorry for later. Help me learn to have self control in all situations and to be a good example of kingdom living. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Delivery Notification Status: Failure
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.Colossians 3:17
Oh the joys of technology, email, and the Internet. When operating correctly they are a gem but when glitches occur you want to pull your hair out. For several days in a row when sending my email devotion out I received the message that is also my title for today. Not being techie enough to solve the issue I just pressed on and tried to stay cool.
When things don't go your way or the way you expected, is your reaction one of anger and frustration? Are you capable of rolling with the punches and still able to enjoy your day? If in the business world it does put more pressure on you than in the world of yours truly, the freelance writer. Never the less, aggravations are part of life and it is learning how to react that matters.
Learning to maintain joy and peace no matter what, is a spiritual discipline. Just remember that others around you know you are a believer, if in fact you are, so be aware to set a Christlike example.
PRAYER: Help me Lord when my day goes haywire to not lose my temper but to know this too shall pass. In Jesus' name. Amen.
