Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20When our beautiful labrador, Sandy, was still with us we often would have to give her commands to get her to obey. "Sit, Stop, Stay!" If trained properly she should follow the commands and obediently do what we asked her to do. It was a necessary measure to keep her under control and let her know who the boss was.In our prayer life sometimes we need to learn to be patient and not give up hope. Literally we could use a dose of 'sit, stop, and stay' in our prayers. Don't rush into prayer and just make it something you feel you have to do but make a dedicated time to lift up concerns to the Lord. During this time don't forget to praise and thank Him for answers He has brought your way. At times God wants to teach us something through our waiting and being still process. The staying processing would be the part where we do not lose hope. Even something that seems far fetched or way out of reach such as the reunion of an estranged family member or friend, believe me it can happen and does happen. A prodigal child can return to the faith their parents instilled in them as a child.What is it you are holding out hope for? God hears your prayers and He is working behind the scenes. His ways are best and He has a plan.PRAYER: Lord you are good and thank you for hearing my pleas and my prayers. Help me to remember to get my own life right with God so my prayers are not hindered.(See Isaiah 59:2) Help me not listen to the lies of Satan and be still as I wait to hear from you and see your answers. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

Pray, Pray, and Pray Some More
Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and never give up. Luke 18:1
Ever have a day when it is just hard to get going? That was me on Friday. I had tons of energy,just no motivation for some reason. Everything I seemed to read on email that day from various ministries was about persistence in prayer. Even when we do not feel like it, we have to get up and get going and keep praying.
God will give you the strength. Satan is the one who tries to zap your strength, disable you, and keep you lethargic. After all, if you feel all blah and trust your feelings over faith,then our enemy is overjoyed. He loves to have Christians feeling weak and powerless. You have to take control of your feelings and charge on.
The joy of the Lord is your strength and will always pull you through. Cry out to God and praise His name.
PRAYER: I thank you Lord for your love for me and your patience with me. Help me get up and get going for the Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.
