When you have that 70th birthday reality hits. Many dread the 30th, 40th, 50th and so on and why is this? Because our culture has made older folks feel worthless but they are not. Older people have lived through lots and have much to contribute. 

If you are reading this and are ‘up there in years’ be grateful because God has blessed you to hang around and share your wisdom. Everyone has an expiration date and it is not something to fear if you know Jesus and know what awaits you. 

This world and its’ fountain of youth was never intended to be our eternal residence. Do what you can to stay healthy and viable and if you are mobile get out and walk or ride your bike. Don’t be afraid to try new things. Start a bucket list and enjoy life. 

PRAYER:Lord thank you for life and the miracle of this Earth I live on. Comfort those people who dread the end and give them hope. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
