Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity.Colossians 4:5
Recently in my travels I noted a man had dropped a paper out of his pocket. I walked over and picked it up and he thanked me. Often times in a big cold impersonal world we can forget to be kind, forget to smile.
Maybe it is time to be different than others. As a believer we should not just blend in to our surroundings but we should have a glow about us. Not a grumpy face, bad disposition, and negative spirit.
Are you able to be an oddball of sorts and do things to shine Jesus' love and light upon others? Give it a try. You might just like the way you feel.
PRAYER: Forgive me Lord when I don't attempt to make a difference in someone's life. Give me opportunities to show your love even to the grumpiest people. In Jesus' name. Amen.
Becky: While I was a patient in a local nursing home this past fall, I thanked the aides and the nurses for almost everything they did for me. I felt so humbled because I could not put any weight on my right foot (severely broken ankle.)
