Don’t Let The Devil Win

 “The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

How do you feel today? Are problems swirling about you? Do you feel worn out? 

Friend , you need to be on your knees. The times we are living in are volatile and confusing. Satan causes that confusion and lying.

Wake up and be a warrior. Put on your spiritual armor daily to be able to protect yourself from the evil that is around you. Don’t just exist but fight this battle and guard your mind and heart. 

PRAYER: I thank you Lord for the Holy Spirit that helps awaken those blinded by Satan. Put a hedge of protection around those I know and love not living for you. Pray for revival in the hearts of men. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Memorial Day

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”John 15:13

Memorial Day is the designated day when we honor the men and women of the Armed Forces of the United States who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, giving their very lives. All veterans whether killed during serving their country or died in non combat can be interned in a US Cemetery. 

Todays youth unless taught by their parents don’t learn honor and respect. Our country is much different from when I was a teen and no I was not in a covered wagon. Anyway do your family, your bank account, and those who gave their life so you could do what pleases you on this day the benefit of taking time to really think about what this day means. 

The flag at half staff today is the real purpose of half staff not for any other reason except an officials death. Today take time to think about those who gave their lives both here on this soil and in foreign lands. In these past 25 years civilians got caught in the cross fire with terrorist attacks. As the late former President Ronald Reagan said”Freedom is only one generation away from extinction”. 

PRAYER: Lord I thank you for the lives saved during military service but also known of many wounded left behind by death,injuries, PTSD, and other incidents. Comfort those left behind and help us never forget what this country stands for and help people wake up who can’t see what is happening in America. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Words

Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips” (Psalm 141:3 NIV)

Oh goodness why oh why is it so difficult to be still when it comes to blurring out things or getting on your phone and poof out a scathing text goes and can’t be recalled. 

A good friend of mine encourages me to practice the 24 hour rule and not to react to something in writing or even a phone call until a full day has passed. 

If this is an area you struggle with why not purpose in your heart to let the Holy Spirit guide you to “be careful little mouth what you say”, remember the childrens song? Your words can make you or break you. 

PRAYER:The tongue and vocal cords are a gift from God. Please help me never take them for granted. Give me the ability to wait and think before texting and such. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Trusting God?

 

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”Proverbs 3:5-6

 

Oh why is it so hard once you have prayed, to trust and let things go to our more than able God, who is at work answering prayers and working behind the scenes on people?

 

Let’s say you prayed over something and things seem to be going really good then the enemy gets his foot in the door and you start fretting. Easy to do as I very well know. That is exactly Satan’s game plan to get you thinking your prayer did not matter and obviously didn’t work. Don’t play Holy Spirit Junior as it is not your job.

 

Don’t fall for the tricks, lies, and deception of the enemy, and stand strong. Tell  Satan to shut up and get out because you are a child of God and His word does not return void as it says in Isaiah 55:11. Now press on and keep looking up!

 

PRAYER: This is your day as is every day Lord and I choose joy, peace, confidence, and trust to guide my every step. I let go of every burden and trust you are working. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Be Blessed

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs…and He will give you everything you need.” Matthew 6:31–33, NLT

Today if you watch too much news which is entirely geared for fear, you will not have much peace. First it is government takeover, stolen elections, food shortage, inflation, gas prices skyrocketing, and on it goes. Don’t you feel God is the one who is Supreme and for whatever reason allows certain things to happen to get people to wake up. 

Many are ‘asleep’ today and slowly but surely being spoon fed tyranny little by little till they get caught up due to loyalty of a political party or just sheer blindness. Instead of hyper focusing on calamity and terror why not wake up and not flip on the news or go get the newspaper off the driveway,  but spend some quality time talking to God and reading your Bible. 

If you have not been taught by your denomination or your family to nourish yourself in God’s word it is very easy. Many are scared of the Bible or have considered too sacred to pick up and horrors, even write in. At the end of this devotion is a link to a Bible App. No go feel protected in Jesus’ arms and don’t allow fear, a tool of the enemy, to have a part in your life. 

PRAYER: I thank you for being able to always communicate even when a ‘minister of truth’ gets appointed in a free world that we know the real truth found in your word. Great be peace to anyone who is unable to be still. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Fighting Evil

8Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 NIV

Don’t let down your guard my friend. The enemy Satan is the creator of all evil, deception, curses, lies, twisting of scripture, manipulation, disguising evil as good, compromise and he loves to stick his foot in the door when someone has been set free of some sin and cause a person to start believing lies again.

Don’t allow Satan to have a seat at your table pastor Louie Giglio says. Satan is so subtle using anything he can, even so called Christian friends, to make you think your sin is not really all that bad. After all doesn’t God want you to be happy?

Today is our world many are confused over sexuality and Satan starts making people feel you can be whatever you want to be or do whatever you want to do but alas God the creator of man and woman and sex says “No” you can’t or you will pay. He is not being mean but He has created man and woman for a purpose. Many don’t want to hear this and put their fingers in their ears. If you are dealing with this or a family member is and perhaps they have even shut the voice of truth out of their life due to conviction by the Holy Spirit keep praying.

PRAYING: I rejoice because I know you love me. I know you love those who have caved to sin and shut truth from their life. Bring conviction and restoration to those who need it. Restore families and friendships. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When Your Mind Is Muddled

Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2 NIV Bible Gateway 

Are there ever days you wake up and just don’t feel like talking to God or opening your Bible. Maybe your mind is cluttered with lies and you can’t seem to break free. 

I know keeping your mind on Christ is a moment by moment. What has you troubled or confused? Don’t allow demonic forces to enter your mind and confuse or lie to you. If you know of a person this has happened to who isn’t listening to truth pray for them. 

God has this but He needs you to be faithful and pray. Don’t let your Bible be a decoration in your house.Satan loves Bibles that stay closed because then the owner is powerless against him. Start in Colossians and read. It is in the New Testament. If you want more don’t hesitate to private message me. Great is our God! 

PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the Bible.I pray for anyone today who needs to know how to use it because they have never been taught. Open their eyes and help them flee the darkness around them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
