F.R.O.G.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Are you fully relying on God? That is what the above acronym means. When you pray do you trust God or keep fretting? Didn't you pray? Don't you believe? God is not on your time table.
In order to not waste your days worrying and fretting, it is necessary to truly let God be God and trust that He has your back. Don't sit around conjuring up doomsday stories or 'what if' scenarios in your head. Satan is the master of bringing on fear. Who are you going to rely on? Will you do it 'fully' or only be partially in?
Start each day thanking God for a new day and being excited for what He has in store for you. Don't allow negative fearful thinking even come in. Nip it in the bud with praise and thanksgiving.
PRAYER: I want to do more than just remember the acronym above but I want to live that way. I want to knock down any fear barriers and faithfully trust you. In Jesus' name. Amen.

ET Phone Home
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20In the 1982 classic blockbuster Hollywood film, ET, the extraterrestrial who crash landed in a California backyard occupied by a very young Drew Barrymore and Henry Thomas, was lonely to go back home pointing his boney little finger towards the sky and saying "home". The classic line from the movie was "ET Phone Home".I often think about God looking down on us and wishing many would 'phone home' so to speak or in other words, give Him the time of day, at least sometime. We are His creation yet many don't believe and choose to ignore this fact totally. There are others who pay homage to Him by saying "I am a Christian" but that is just about where their devotion ends.
Where is your heart? Do you love God or are you agnostic, complacent, or just what I will call religious? God isn't about religion but is about relationship. Are you desiring to 'phone home' or in other words do you miss your Heavenly Father? Today if you hear His voice do not harden your heart. Let Him into your life today.PRAYER: Lord I love talking to you in prayer. I pray for those whose hearts are not fully yours. Keep knocking on the door of their hearts. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Get Up And Run!!
Do you not know that when in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24
Do you feel stuck? Unmotivated? Discouraged? No way out? Do you realize feelings like that do not originate with God? Our enemy, Satan, is the one who causes you to be down in the dumps. He is the master of negativity.
Sometimes it is necessary to just push through those feelings. I have had them and once I had to say out loud "In the name of Jesus I will mop this floor!" Sounds comical but when you are trapped in depression speaking the name of Jesus is the best thing EVER! You might even have to shout "Satan I am bought with the blood of Jesus and redeemed from your curse so leave me alone".Ok know that God loves you and Satan hates you. God has a wonderful plan for your life. Find a good dynamic growing Bible believing church and go regularly. Read your Bible. Start staying away from those things pulling you away from Christ. You should know what they are. Now go have an awesome day. Jesus Loves You!
PRAYER: Yes Jesus loves me the Bible tells me so. A child's' song but it rings so true. Forgive me for allowing the thinking of this world to entrap me and drag me down. I cast off that stronghold in your mighty name. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Your Mess....Your Message
"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
No one has a perfect life. Often times you may assume a certain church leader or Bible study teacher has it all together when it reality they may be hurting greatly or going through something no one is aware of. Often times the messes of this life turn out to be our 'message' or testimony later on.
Just because you have accepted Christ does not mean your problems go away. What it does mean is you are better able to get through to the other side. No matter what happens in life do not turn your back on God. Why is it when bad stuff happens many times people get angry at God? Why not blame Satan for a change?
Just know that trials do indeed make you a stronger person as pat an answer as that is. Problems develop your character and make you into a better person. The main thing is to stay in the word of God. By reading you can grow and get what you need to see you through trouble that may come your way.
PRAYER: No matter what Lord I trust you. When answers to prayer seem slow in coming I know you are still there. Your ways are not our ways. Help me trust you and remember that. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Staying A Baby Forever Is Not Good
I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 1 Corinthians 3:2Parents who have newborn babies don't want them to stay a baby forever. It may seem cute to have this little tiny human, pure and innocent, but if they stayed an infant it is not a good thing. Can you imagine going to junior high in diapers, or crawling when you are in grade school. Also if your baby continued to eat Gerber baby food, or drank infant or toddler formula, that too is not wise. Eventually they have to grow up.Likewise spiritually it is necessary to grow up. Many people are under the impression to baptize a baby, join a church, or go on Sunday is enough to be able to say you are 'religious' and sort of have made it in that 'church life category'. First I hate the word religious. I am not religious, I love Jesus. When a person seemingly is going 'too crazy' for the things of the Lord often times a label is given to them by those who don't understand. It might even be from other 'church people'.This Earth is NOT our home. Why not use the time you have now to get to know Christ better. If you have not asked Him to be Lord of your life, do so. Baptism alone does not save you no matter what a 'religious leader' may have said. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Once saved shouldn't it be a natural thing to want to be mature in Christ and get some spiritual meat? Put down that pacifier and get strong in the Lord.PRAYER: It is easy to go through life being spoon fed even for those who attend church on a regular basis. But Lord I don't want to stop there. I desire maturity. I pray for nay in my family who may have grown complacent to desire to grow in you again. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Your Playbook
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,2 Timothy 3:16
Football season is upon us all over the US. I could care less as I am not addicted to it nor is my husband but for those who are it is a big event.
In football the coaches use a 'playbook' to write out moves for the players to make. Players follow this guide the coaches have drawn up for them in order to hopefully have a successful game.
Our 'playbook' in life is our Bible. Here in the US many of us may have numerous Bibles but sometimes they just gather dust. If the 'playbook' for life is not followed then you are likely to follow the wrong crowd and do the wrong things. Hopefully you don't fall into the category of a complacent Christian who just exists but never reads the rule book of life. Start today to pick up God's playbook, The Bible, start reading and maturing in your walk with Him.
PRAYER: Father God I am sorry when I have gone my own way and not followed the playbook you have laid out for me. I know the enemy jumps for joy when I neglect it because then he has more power over me. I choose to follow your word. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Jealous.....Maybe Sometimes
You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 1 Corinthians 3:3
What makes people get jealous? First, it is not an emotion from God so let's get that straight. But most of us have felt it at one time or another if we are honest. It is not listed as a 'fruit' of the Spirit so how do you nip this monster in the bud?
Possessions, talents, feeling left out, money, being in the loop, family issues, appearance, comparison. It is not good. Why do we let it occur? Mostly if you let your mind dwell on negative you can conjure up so many things that are not real. Satan loves it when we get jealous. From there he might have you say or do something you regret terribly and even ruin a relationship.
PRAYER: Oh dear Lord I want to not even entertain jealousy in my life. Forgive me when I have let it rear its' ugly head. Help me replace it with praise. In Jesus' name. Amen.
