Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Romans 12:21
Maybe we've been on one or sent others on one, but guilt trips are not the ideal vacation destination.I
try not to intentionally send anyone on one but I am certain I have slipped up, maybe with my children at times. Some families send their adult children on guilt trips to make them feel bad for not being home on a holiday. I am thankful that's not a trip my children have been on.
If you are the one buying the tickets for these guilt trips try to ask God to make you aware of what
you are doing and give you the ability to stop. If you have been sent on one by others even if they are
unaware of it make it a point to forgive this and not let bitterness and an offended spirit build up. If it
gets bad you may have to approach the generous person who wants to send you on one and talk things over. Trying to get your way by making people feel guilty is very unloving and unkind. Love is selfless and does not try to push people to do things their way. Think about that and go on a nice vacation but not a guilt trip.
PRAYER: Lord I want to be kind and loving to friends, family, and strangers so with that in mind give me the ability to not send people on guilt trips. In Jesus name. Amen.
