Betrayal 101

 

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Romans 3:23

Who can you trust? That is the million dollar question. If you share something in confidence you expect you can rest assured it stays with one person. Loose lips sink ships. 

That is why your tongue is like deadly poison or fire. It mentions the tongue in James 3 take a moment to read it. An innocent sharing of something can do massive damage that may take days, months, maybe years to recover from. 

So brother and sister best to keep your comments to yourself even if someone says “it will stay with me”. The one person you can talk to and trust is Jesus. Go to Him today. 

PRAYER: Today Lord I ask you to show me who I can trust and who may be anxious to burn bridges. Help me think before I speak or share. In Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Just Be Nice....Try It!

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

 Most people can probably come up with a name or two of someone who has mistreated them, back stabbed them, betrayed them, called them ugly names. Sometimes it is hard to forget about it and anger and hurt wells up. You know in order to move on you have to let it go. There are a few people who have hurt me and mostly are not in my life anymore. Satan wants me to be angry back but that is not the right thing to do.

You are to trudge on, turn the other cheek, and not seek revenge. If it even crosses your mind to retaliate that is not from God.

So move on my friend. Pray for those who have hurt or misused you in any way. Above all show love.

PRAYER: Forgiveness is a trait I want to develop in all situations in my life. Help me to love regardless if someone loves me. In Jesus' name.Amen. 

Dog Eat Dog

Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:6

This phrase which is my title means that people will do anything they have to in order to get ahead primarily in the business world. Lies, back stabbing, betrayal, forgery, and on it goes. Christians are supposed to be above all that but some of you may have been on the receiving end of this and when you discover it you become so hurt and angry. 

How do you react to this? Who do you go run to? You have been a faithful employee, why you? When people lie about you behind your back to exalt themselves they must really be hurting people. As much as you would like to go throw paint on their car, I don't recommend you do so. 

This is the time to show love and ask God what you are to learn from this. Don't stoop to the level of the person hurting you but as hard as it is, pray for them. God will see you through. 

PRAYER: Help me Lord to act Christlike even when my conditions tell me it is okay to be ugly. Shine your light through me in all circumstances I encounter. In Jesus' name. Amen.
