Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6:38
To say it’s been quite an unusual year would be an extreme understatement. Hopefully it is NOT the new normal.
Holidays still occur during a pandemic and seemingly one of the favorites is Christmas especially for children. Start coming up with ideas about how you can bless someone and maybe even anonymously. There is a verse in Acts 20:35 that says “it is more blessed to give than receive” and that is very true.
Many charities at this time of year could use monetary or material donations such as Salvation Army(Red Kettle drive), Toys for Tots(US Marine Corps), Angel Tree( Prison Fellowship), Samaritan’s Purse(Operation Christmas Child) and many more. Pay it forward for a stranger in line at grocery or fast food. Tip wait staff larger even if they did lousy job. Just be a happy good deed doer and see if you don’t feel better.
PRAYER:Lord use me to bless another for Christmas and year round. Help kindness not just be because it’s Christmas. Open my eyes and heart to needs. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
