WOW ARE WE BLESSED

If you live in the United States, which probably a majority of the readers of this blog do, then you are truly blessed. There is no other place like it currently. Even our 'poor' are not poor like those in third world nations. Most people here have some means to get all sorts of care be it food, clothing, clean water, or medical attention. It is from the Lord these blessings come. "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord."(Psalm 33:12).

Here is a brief list of some of the things we have some of us may take for granted. Food in abundance, hot water, warm homes in winter, cool homes in summer, flush toilets, place to live, freedom, telephones, access to computers at home or library, free libraries, car to drive, bicycle to ride, safety from foreign attacks, several pairs of shoes, more clothes than we ever wear, friends, good families, education, access to medical care, money to spend, leisure time, television, refrigerators to keep food fresh, clean running drinking water,no guards walking around neighborhoods, travel opportunities, abundant natural resources, city parks to enjoy, cameras to snap multitudes of pictures, ability to read our Bible in public, eyeglasses if we need to see, wheelchairs for disabled people, books to read, and so much more. You can see we are truly blessed. Ephesians 1:3 says "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings:"
Psalm 68:19 says "what a glorious Lord! He who daily bears our burdens also gives us our salvation."   It is the blessing of the Lord that man gets wealth. (See Proverbs 10:22). God has blessed us because for years we acknowledged him and obeyed his commands. Our nation"one nation under God" is starting to stray. If we do not keep his laws he will not continue to bless. Something to think about.

PRAYER: Dear Lord thank you for all you have given to us. We do not say thank you enough. Forgive us for taking things for granted. Help us to look around each day for someone to bless. In Jesus name, amen!
