When You Want To Scream

 


The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever. 18My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of resting places. Isaiah 32:17-8

The times we are living in here in the Western world are frustrating and to many whose jobs were affected or business was closed due to the pandemic you probably feel like screaming and hitting a punching bag. 

in every situation God has your back and He does care. "Yeah but that does not help me Him just caring" you might say. He is bigger than covid 19 and He is bigger than a job layoff. He knows how you feel and His heart breaks when yours breaks. Don't be angry at politicians and take to Facebook bashing everyone but keep in mind God wants you to maintain peace and still praise Him through the storms of this life. You may feel like giving up. Don't do that.

Stop what you are doing after reading this and lift your hands up in the air and praise God for another day of life and another chance to make a difference in the life of someone else.Set backs can turn out for the good so keep that in mind Satans plan is for you to mope and have self pity BUT God's plan is for you to weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side. 

PRAYER; I am so very thankful for the gift of life and friends and family. Often times I let my mind wander thinking wrong thoughts and imagining things that are not even real. Help me as I seek to stay Christ centered no matter what comes my way. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Different But Still One Commonality

 


For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. Romans 12:4-6

God created each human with different traits, gifts, and personalities.It is up the each person to make a decision whether they will follow Christ or not. He doesn’t force himself into our lives. 
Followers may be different but have one thing in common and that is they love Jesus and want to live to Him and serve Him. It should be the glue that holds us together regardless of denominational ties. 

Each person is here for a reason and can be used in the kingdom of God. Many are still wandering either from the love they once had for the Lord or have never truly encountered Him.Where is your heart today?Are you growing closer to Him or further away? 

PRAYER: Help me Lord never act haughty like I have all the answers but help me have a heart of love and compassion to help bring people to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Great Is The Lord!,

 



 

Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. (Psalm 145:3, ESV)

Pause for a moment taking a break from the divisions in our world and focus on the glory of the Almighty God! His name is wonderful, his name is powerful, his name is the name above all names.

His kingdom is forever! He is higher and greater than all the petty bickering of mere men who have drifted away and spent more time being enamored by the creation than the creator. Our foolish worship of things, people, events, and even ‘worshiping worship‘ instead of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. 

Jesus is King, creator, Almighty, name above ALL names, peacemaker, mediator, friend, savior, way maker, light in the darkness, truth, redeemer, sovereign, mighty to save, first and the last, alpha and the omega, the bread of life, and so much more. How Great is God and how unfathomable His love for us even when we don’t deserve it. Focus on Him and not the problems in this world. Worship him, lift up your hands in praise and get on your knees and truly pour out your heart to him. The things of Earth WILL grow strangely dim in the Light of His Glory and Grace! 

PRAYER: Oh I thank you for the parents who taught me about Jesus and took me to church and for those who were used by God to lead me to the cross of Jesus and I pray for those you put in my path to plant ‘seeds’ to help others come to a saving knowledge of you. I pray for those who might need to break away from religion to truly come to know you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Unity Or Chaos

 

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the LORD forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:13-14

A troubling spirit of dissent, anger, evil, and chaos has permeated America. It is not from God. Believers in Christ should not be cheering on these lost hurting souls creating havoc and killing in our cities streets. 

America needs a revival. The devil does not like this country and what it stands for. We who love freedom and love truth have been fighting to keep ourselves from the anti God Spirit of communism. 

Sometimes God uses unlikely people to do his work and the enemy does not like that and anger and hate erupts like out of control volcanoes. Today stop what you are doing and pray for the division caused by politics, and factions trying to persuade people using a false narrative. Pray for revival in the ranks of the news media. Can you imagine how nice that would be? Now go spread love and don’t argue with others.

PRAYER: Lord help this great nation stay set apart for you. Bring prayer back to the public square and the schoolhouses across our land. Spark revival in the hearts of those who hate. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Whose Day Can You Impact?

 


Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.Romans12:21

Each and every day no matter where you are or what you are doing you can impact another person’s life in a positive way. 

Let’s say you are at work and that not so desirable co worker who talks about you behind your back passes you in hall. Just smile and say have a good day. A rude clerk who may in fact just have underlying issues you don’t know about probably just needs a smile. 

It is so much easier to be happy and kind than it is to be mean.If you are mean on social media due to politics keep in mind you have friends on both sides of the ‘aisle’ and you won’t win anyone to the Lord with a hateful comment about a politician you don’t like. Instead sow seeds of prayer. Now go and have an awesome day. And if you can’t be kind go talk to the Lord in your prayer closet. 

PRAYER: The fruits of the spirit sometimes are not evident in my life cause Satan tries to trip me up. Help me Lord recognize these deceptive tools of the enemy and I lift up anyone I know having a bad day to press in to God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Re-Set Your Mind

 

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.Philippians 4:8

The mind is a tricky thing and if not occupied by good things can soon take a nose dive into all sorts of garbage that can get you messed up saying and doing stupid things. 

Mind control is not meaning hypnotism or something far off like that but is simply getting your mind focused intentionally on the right thing. If you are obsessing over something it will continue unless you reset your mind to think another way and get busy and move forward out of the OCD ditch. 

Take a walk, call a friend, write a letter, start a hobby, clean your house, organize, volunteer, if not working get a job. Find a way to make someone else’s life better. But before all this open your Bible and read some Psalms and clear your mind of worldly distracting thoughts. 

PRAYER: At times it is easy to be in self pity and when I am that is wrong because I am concerned only about me, myself, and I. I choose to get up, get going, and live a life pleasing to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Does Your Life Reflect Christ

 




Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1

Do you wear several ‘hats’? One at work, one in public, one with family, and another with friends? Does your life reflect consistency or do you act a certain way depending on whose presence you are in? 

When you gaze into crystal clear water at the edge of a brook or lake you most likely see a reflection or mirror image of yourself.Your life reflects to others you encounter what kind of a person you are. 

Why not seek to reflect Jesus in all you say and do. Become more like him by reading the Bible daily. You don’t make friends with humans without first investing time in them. Same with Jesus. He is not just for Sunday. 

PRAYER: I want to know you more Lord and I know I don’t lie my head on a Bible and sleep and it magically happens.I want people to see you in me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
