No Room For The Cross

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:7 KJV Bible Gateway

 The cross is a symbol yes but a deeper meaning is that it represents being a Christian or identifying with Christ. I often see people wearing them and wonder if they know why. 

You and I are not to judge but also I heard the term ‘seeker friendly’ before referring to churches who didn’t want to appear too churchy in order to draw people in who maybe had a bad experience with mainstream traditional church. Part of this seeker friendly may be that they don’t display a cross as it could be seen as offensive. Just a thought. 

Anyway it seems from the beginning there was no room for Jesus or later the cross He died a horrible death on. Is there room in your heart for the savior? Ask Him to be your Lord today. 

PRAYER: Father help me never be ashamed of the cross of Jesus Christ and to boldly stand for truth wherever I am. In Jesus’ name.Amen.
